Ask questions! The home buying process can be overwhelming. Even if you've not a first time homebuyer, you may not be familiar with the regional differences, such as closing with title companies v. attorneys, local property taxes or the length of typical escrow. Not only is it important for a Buyer's agent to listen to your requests in finding the right home, but it's just as important for them to guide the Buyer through the process of negotiating, lending process, inspections, etc.

Leave it to the professionals and take their advice. Determining fair market value a science, not an opinion. Your Listing Agent has the tools to price your home based on the market and your motivation.

There is no typical client. Everyone's needs are different and I love being able to create a rapport with all.

There's no greater feeling than handing the keys over to a first time homebuyer, full of excitement. Or seeing children playing in their first yard that they can call their own. Or, helping a retired couple sell their family home to downsize to a new home in the country. It would be difficult to describe one recent transaction that I'm fond of. Not all of them are easy, but they are all rewarding.

I worked in interior design in the St. Louis area for 15 years before moving to the North Country. While designing display homes for builders, I've become very knowledgeable in the construction of homes. I drew floorpans and designed custom furniture for clients. Real Estate sales was a natural transition for me.

I have personally designed, built and sold more than 8 homes using a real estate agent before I considered getting my own license. These experiences helped me succeed right away. Business education has also helped, but I feel that my greatest attribute is my ability to relate to everyone and acknowledge their specific needs. My experience working with diversity has taught me more than any training.
