ZillowVERIFIED I would prefer to give zero stars and this would just be for her lack of professionalism. I cannot comment on her local knowledge, process expertise, or negotiation skills as we did not make it that far. I will say she definitely needs to improve on her communication skills and eliminate being rude to potential customers. I was clear in my needs and she apparently lacked the capability that the preferred method of communication needed was email as the information would be shared with others on properties we were interested in purchasing. In addition to the rude phone call / conversation I received from her she felt she needed to follow up with a text message as well - her message below: "FYI if you do any inquiries online especially home search sites people are going to call you. I'm not sure how that is difficult but if you're not ready to talk then don't ask for more information". It is not only extremely stressful when purchasing a home and one of if not the largest purchase a couple or individual makes, it does not help to have someone who should be helping and making the process less stressful a more difficult situation. I did feel that potential customers should be aware of this especially since the money being made by a realtor is in the thousands and tens of thousands on the low end and they should be going above and beyond to help potential clients, not breaking them down and making the experience a horrific one.

They lied and took advantage. They say anything to get you hooked and dont back it up. In the attorney office, at the closing, caught 2 lies they tried to pass through! I had to fight to get contract changed! Be Careful!!!

I will give him one thing he is a go getter. He showed my home more in the first three weeks than my previous Realtor showed it in 6 months. He was pretty quick to call for a price reduction and then another one at the end. As hot as the market is at the moment this seemed quiet odd. The communication from the office staff was lacking especially at the end.

After contacting 3 separate realty groups, we settled on Kauffmann and I am still in disbelief about what a stroke of luck it was. Other groups wanted certain items established before even phone conversation, our Kauffmann agent Joel was on Zoom showing houses the day after contact. So many things put me at ease dealing with him, especially as a first time buyer. Joel patiently and professionally explained intricate details about real estate from the standpoint of an advisor, no question was too big or small. I just cannot express what a consummate professional Joel was and then he would shift into advisor mode. ZillowVERIFIED I had a very challenging historic property that required finding just the right buyer. The Toper Kauffman team was exceptional throughout the entire process. At well over 100 years old, my listing wasn't one that would appeal to the average buyer. Topher was very thorough with post-showing feedback and was up front about issues that were making potential buyers reluctant to commit on the property. The team helped to devise a plan that would address the problematic issues in a manner that maximized my limited budget and even went as far as to recommend a number of contractors who we subsequently hired to complete the work. The recommended contractors were fantastic. They did quality work at fair prices. I have had a number of bad experiences with contractors over the years, but these folks did exactly what they said they would to for exactly what they quoted. They were efficient and thorough, and completed the work well in time for the final inspection. Without the coordination provided by the Topher Kauffmann team, my property would likely still be on the market. Because the property was so unique, I expected a lengthy listing period. However, I never felt the momentum stalling. Topher had a steady stream of qualified buyers throughout the entire listing period. He would take in prospective buyer feedback and made adjustments accordingly. I was very pleased with the results and would absolutely recommend this realtor.
