I hope others arent taking of advantage of like we were. Watch sellers repair credits aEUR| he asks for more than his buyers loan amounts for credits so he gets more agent compensations aEUR|and then u are legally bound..he works the system.

Tom did the original walk through with my son, who lives locally, of the house that I was interested in and based on what I was looking for he pulled together a list of houses to view when I was down in CA. He new the area and looked only for houses that met my needs. I found just what I wanted and he worked with the sellers to make an offer and to hold the house until I sold mine in OR. He worked with my realtor in Oregon to stay on top of what was happening and made good suggestions on pricing and keeping the sellers in CA happy. He always responded quickly and had good information. He was also a friendly and supportive member of the team that successfully got me into the house of my dreams!

He also responded to my questions very quickly and with clear concise answers. He explained everything to me that I needed to know as a first time buyer. Tom was also very honest about the homes we looked at. Obviously he showed us the positive aspects of homes we looked at, he was also very honest about things that would need repair and what we might be looking at to repair them. Once we found the right home, he made buying a breeze. I have heard people say that having a home in escrow is a very stressful experience. I did not have that experience at all. ZillowVERIFIED Wow! What a whirlwind that was....We just closed on our new house today thanks to Tom! In todays market, we kept getting out bid, changing direction, etc. We had to move fast on viewing homes because they were getting offers accepted within days of being up on the market, and Tom was there every step of the way with us. He was always super quick to respond and get us viewings and beyond helpful in digging up any property reports and information he could find, as well as helping to interpret some of the jargon in those reports. He turned around paperwork super quickly when we were trying to rush in an offer, always provided insight on the market, and made sure that we were making thoughtful decisions and not just grasping at straws in desperation to find a place. It will be a second home for myself and my parents, which was a totally new concept for us! Since we are out of the area, Tom got us to viewings via Zoom, and had a fantastic eye for details, I could really trust that he would give us a good idea of the place, and he would point out anything he saw - good or bad - that he thought we should be aware of. I am a very detail oriented person, and trusting others with things like that doesnt come easy to me, but Tom impressed me time and again with his eye for detail and attentiveness. He was never pushy, never annoyed (even after looking at probably close to a dozen homes! Sorry Tom!), always understanding, open, and easy to talk with. It is obvious that he takes pride in his work and professional relationships. He also knows the ins and outs of every neighborhood we looked at from McKinleyville to Fortuna, and having that super knowledgeable local viewpoint and insight was invaluable since we had only been there for short trips and getaways before. The house we ended up purchasing was not what we originally had in mind at all, but Tom recommended that we give it a try, and oh my gosh it couldnt have been a more perfect fit! Tom was absolutely fantastic to work with, and if we are ever selling or buying in the area again, I wouldnt work with any other Realtor except for Tom!
