FAQ
Make sure you are pre-approved by a qualified lender! Then you won't waste time looking at homes outside your price range.
Make sure you have a "to do" list for getting your home ready to sell. Also, have a realistic timeframe to actually have it marketed, sold & closed. You are looking at a min timeframe of 30 days to close in most cases. Make sure your expectations match those of your agent. You come first!
All kinds, first time home buyers, investors, those that want to downsize/upsize. I enjoy all backgrounds when it comes to clients.
Actually, my last three listings here in St. Louis, all sold BEFORE we even when live on the market! Clients were very happy!
I have been an insurance agent for almost 14 years, then a GM in the restaurant business for about the same time frame. I wanted to get back into a self employed position while still helping people. I haven't looked back since!
I would say insurance background has certainly helped. I look at homes in a different way now & throw in my two cents if clients ask about an insurance question.
