First, no one knows the Capitol Hill neighborhood better then they do. They are both long time residents. I saw so many Compass signs on the Hill with "sold" on them listing Todd and Stan as the brokerage team. And so many of my neighbors spoke highly of them. So when I started to think of selling my house, I contacted them. Todd came over and carefully explained the process and how to best time the real estate market. He gave me his thoughts on what needed to be done to make my turn of the century townhouse look it's best. ZillowVERIFIED Did you ever have a realtor bring a rug from his home to put in your front hallway for staging effect? That is just one example of how much Stan Bissey cares about what he does. His attention to detail was just impeccable. We had already moved out of state and Stan knew all of the tradesmen to make sure our house was in top shape. He even did some things himself, like cleaning the green moss from the flagstone patio under our second story deck! And he dealt with the title company on a complicated issue. He was available at a moment's notice when we needed him, and made sure that everything went smoothly. They are sticklers for details, and they bring in an excellent stager and good trades-people in order to to execute their plan. Get out of their way and they will put in long hours to achieve their vision for your property. In our case, after a bit of give and take about how much to invest in preparing our property to sell, our large two-flat went on the market on a Thursday and we had two offers by Monday. Todd and Stan did a quick and excellent job in moving between the two bidders and in obtaining a much better second offer. They were also very helpful in negotiating the TOPA and closing process. He did a fantastic job of finding out what I wanted and setting up a customized search for me. I would select properties to visit weekly (or sometimes faster) and he was very flexible about showing me them after hours and on weekends. He had a good sense for the value of houses and we saw several houses go by for the approximate value he stated. Todd helped me to buy my first home in an incredibly daunting sellers market. He has the patience of a saint. If not for his reassurances and gentle nudging, I probably still wouldnt have a house.Most of the single family homes in my price range were older and had fairly major problems. I relied on Todd's expertise and background in construction to understand the scope of the problems and how I should factor them into my offers. I could not have asked for more.
