Review for Member: Tim Schaub
ZillowVERIFIEDTim and his team did an excellent job in guiding us through the estate sale of our family property in Leelanau County in the Summer/Fall of 2024. The transaction posed several challenges: regulatory hurdles, on-going deeded land use negotiations, residual tension among extended family members and a series of last-minute plumbing complications. Throughout the onerous process, Tim and Melanie were responsive, calm, knowledgeable and highly professional. Tim and his teams decades of experience and deep understanding (and love!) of the area were on full display and always very reassuring. I would strongly recommend him and his team and would work with him again in a heartbeat.

ZillowVERIFIED Tim Schaub and Melanie Schaub and the whole team are top shelf when it comes to both buying and selling real estate in the Leelanau area. As out of towners, we benefitted greatly from Tims access to potential listings. Follow through and professionalism are hallmarks of the Schaub Team practice.

ZillowVERIFIED Schaub Team was a pleasure to work with for our recent home purchase. We were relocating from out of state, and were able to set up a search profile with Tim and Melanie prior to our actual move, which gave us a realistic feel for the current market in our intended destination. Despite having our home search during a market low period, Tim and Melanie kept in touch with us and worked with us to find a property that not only fit our needs, but exceeded our expectations! Five stars! Highly recommend!

ZillowVERIFIED I'm so glad we chose Tim Schaub to sell our house. He was professional and had an excellent knowledge of real estate in our area. He only allowed showings to vetted well qualified buyers, and sold our house after just three showings. I would definitely recommend him. Selling a house has never been easier for us.

ZillowVERIFIED Tim and his team were clear communicators and professional throughout our sale process. They listed the house very quickly and took pains to ensure that it was marketed well, including on social media and even on the local news. Put simply, if you're looking for a low-stress and seamless experience when selling (and, I have no doubt, buying) higher-end real estate, look no further than Tim.

ZillowVERIFIED Working with Tim and Melanie on the Schaub team has been one of my best experiences with a realtor. Tim's hands-on experience and knowledge combined with his responsiveness, fairness, professionalism, patience, generosity and strong character have made it a pleasure to work with him over many years and sales. His willingness to work with our needs and concerns and explore different options with marketing and advertising when needed was both helpful and appreciated. Tim's talents shine in the negotiation process where he brings an effective balance of reading the issues and people, right timing, patience and seeking the best value. And Melanie's skills and expertise in the office help to keep everything running smoothly and efficiently creating a strong team. I would recommend Tim and the Schaub Team to anyone looking for a trustworthy, hard-working and competent realtor.

ZillowVERIFIED Tim Schaub, Melanie Schaub and Joe Campo were fantastic in handling a multi-sale residential transaction in Leland. this is the third time we have used The Schaub Team and the results were beyond our expectations. We sold our North Lake Leelanau home and purchased a beautiful home in Leland all within a week! Everything was smooth, great advice, known comparable product sale prices were spot on and their knowledge of qualified buyers and seller supreme. Get with it and call em.Jim and Barbara C.

ZillowVERIFIED Tim was on top of the sale with contingency plans for every situation that could of come up. He dealt with someone coming in high, then wanting to take money off after inspection with one of the reasons being the color of a counter. I would have not stayed as cool under pressure, we got our full asking price and closed quickly!

Review for Member: Tim Schaub
ZillowVERIFIED Tim is a very knowledgeable, flexible and responsive real estate agent. Since he was born and raised in Leelanau, his understanding of the real estate market is as good or better than anyone out there. Tim sold two of our homes(Traverse City Sept '18 and Leland Oct '19) and he found us a home on N Lake Leelanau(July '19) A lot going on in a short time but Tim and Melanie demonstrated flexibility, handled all of the chaos with professionalism and brought all sides together fairly. In fact, two of the three homes the Schaub Team were dual agentsWithout his expertise and contacts in the market, we would not have found our heritage home on N Lake Leelanau before it hit the market. For this, our family will be forever grateful(especially in the Summer!) Thank you Schaub Team!

ZillowVERIFIED We came to the Schaub Team after being unhappy with another local realtor. Joe and Greta did an excellent job finding a house that is perfect for us. We were very impressed with their knowledge of Leelanau County as they worked patiently with us until we found an amazing home. Our home is 150+ years old, so we needed some guidance. Joe and Greta were right there throughout the whole process. Joe and Greta are now good friends of ours too. 10 out of 10 will recommend the Campo's and will 100% be working with them in years to come!

ZillowVERIFIED We have now used the Schaub Team (Tim, Roger and Melanie) for three real estate transactions. The last two were concurrent buy/sell transactions. We are very satisfied with this team. They know the area, they research options, and assist with the transactions. Roger and Tim are excellent in sales and purchase/sell arrangements. They know the market and can accurately price a home and offer guidance on offers. Melanie is a master of coordination. What a wonder. Great at finding resources, answering questions, coordinating correspondence, and preparation of the reams of paperwork necessary for closing. If you wish to purchase or sell a home in Traverse City, Leelanau County area, this is the team to contact. You will be happy you did.

ZillowVERIFIED Tim and his team were professional, informative, and brought a common sense, realistic perspective to the table. They respected our privacy and went out of their way to make showings/inspections work around our schedules and also keep us in the loop. This was not our primary residence so we relied heavily on Tim to coordinate visits to the property. The process was flawless and the connections (buyers) that made offers were well vetted. On top of their professionalism Tim is genuinely a nice person so that set the tone for all of our interactions. I'd highly recommend Tim and his team.

ZillowVERIFIED Tim has helped my family purchase two homes in the past three years. In both cases he quickly grasped the type of one we were looking for. He has a deep knowledge of the market and the area as a whole. In both cases the transactions were completed without a hitch. I definitely would recommend using Tim to buy a a home in the area. ZillowVERIFIED Above and beyond. We ran into a few snags (health of elderly seller, undeveloped but platted street that required Road Commission involvement, need to divide 5.5 lot parcel into two parcels requiring Village/County involvement). Tim and Melanie were professional and responsive at each hurdle; they kept me informed at every step and handled each situation with calm fortitude! I am very appreciative of their skills, knowledge and ability to bring this deal to a conclusion after 6 months of process.

ZillowVERIFIED Tim and his team know Leelanau County extremely well. We used them to sell our house. They suggested improvements to increase the value and marketability, did a complete market study to zero in on a listing price, helped with staging, marketed the property online and through their extensive network, and negotiated a strong deal on our behalf. All of this was done timely, professionally, and with transparency. They also showed a real interest in us and our property and getting the best price possible within our desired timeframe. Overall, they were exceptional to work with and we highly recommend them.

ZillowVERIFIED Tim and Melanie have been incredible during the sale of our Lake Michigan property. In over 60 years of dealing with real estate professionals they are hands down the best we have encountered. We were always kept informed and no question went unanswered and was always handled quickly and efficiently. We were always treated with courtesy and respect. As we neared the closing process there were a great many questions and as usual with a real estate transaction a few little snags and they never made us feel as if we were a bother, but quite the opposite. Tim even called from across the country to be sure we knew he was keeping in touch with everyone involved in the closing. Melanie's sweet nature always came through in every conversation and both Tim and Melanie had delightful personalities along with incredible knowledge. We could not have made a better choice with Tim and Melanie and we consider them dear friends.

ZillowVERIFIED Tim Schaub is extremely professional and thorough. We are very impressed with the level of communication and detail Melanie and he maintained with us throughout the entire process. He gathered relevant comps and educated us as to the current market realities. Both myself and the other owner were traveling during the majority of the selling process. Tim and Melanie kept us updated at all times and also coordinated two tests that were needed on the property prior to close. His integrity based relationships with key local services ie. bank, appraisers, surveyors, zoning & permitting personnel along with other realtors allowed him to achieve a successful solution to our few 'bumps in the road'. We were very sincere when we shook his hand and said 'Thank You' after signing the closing documents. We have worked with Tim on several property projects and will continue to do so in the future.

ZillowVERIFIED Barbara and I have been a part of 3 real estate transactions in Leland all brokered by Tim. One of those was our special cottage that he found that was not even on the market. I work in a global commercial real estate company so my expectations are very high. He is one of the best professionals in the business anywhere. His strategic thinking, knowledge and resources to connect the buyer and seller are extraordinary. In this market confidentiality is very important and Tim is very careful with his clients information and as such will quietly do the deal and never talk about it.
