Born and raised in Guatemala City, Guatemala, Tim moved to the United States when he was 18 and is fluent in both Spanish and English. He has a bachelor's and master's degree in piano performance, having studied at the Juilliard School and the University of Southern California. He has lived and worked not only in the Arcadia/Pasadena area for over 15 years, but also in Los Feliz and the Hollywood Hills, providing him with first-hand knowledge of the real estate market from Bradbury to Beverly Hills.
