I especially like to help people who have lived in their homes a long time. Lots of things to manage for them-- the stuff has taken over, repairs are needed, and overall they need the help that we provide. I like to see the progress of going from overwhelmed to empowered, because ive given them a plan, with people to help, and a timeline to hold them accountable to make it happen.
I worked in textile design and advertising in NYC for 15 years. But moved home with my husband and three young boys in 2001. I got my license to renovate homes but after a couple years, I began to help friends and family buy. Then sell. I loved all aspects of this work. "In" and "on" the business. Identifying their goals. Searching for a home. Prepping it for sale. Staging and repairs to enhance it. Strategic pricing to nail the positioning for quick sale. Negotiating the best terms for the client. Managing it through closing. Delivering the keys to their new home! And I enjoy the entrepreneurial side of it-- marketing, branding, messaging, servicing, revenues, organizational management with my team, coaching, mentoring, and now teaching new agents to be exceptional at their craft.
I bring deep experiences from life to my work. From a large familiy, I learned to listen, dont over react, to share. My work in NYC in the visual arts and advertising, help me to 'see things' as is or as improved. Work as a mortgage broker helps me understand the numbers behind it all. The 6th of 7 kids, with lots of nieces and nephews, grandparents, aging parents, and my own kids has taught me volumes about the really important aspects of life, and living, and empathy, and how family's live and care for each other. This is my calling. I truly enjoy the work, the people, the homes, the process of helping them move on to the next chapter. And a great sense of humor to have fun doing it!
