ZillowVERIFIEDMy husband and I are considering a move back to California. We made travel plans to look at homes and Zillow connected us with Teresa. I gave her one star for local knowledge and responsiveness because although Teresa called me, she pretty much blew us off when I told her that I had questions about the property based on the hazard map that I saw on Zillow. The house is over 100 years old and is listed for about 800K and is perched at the bottom of an historical gold dredging site, so naturally there are questions about the structural integrity (as in, incomplete chimney structures above non-load bearing walls, tripping hazards, flooding in the backyard, etc.). As we were heading up to Nevada City to make the appointment Zillow scheduled for us, Teresa hastily back tracked on the phone saying she had another appointment and would call us back. She never did. Honestly surprised at all the 5-star ratings on this page given her inability to demonstrate professionalism in showing a questionable, apparently grossly overpriced home.

Over a 5 month peroid, see showed us several properties that were within our price, location and consistent with our goals. That may sound generic but she is not. She located properties as they were comming on the market, but only ones, again, that met our parameters. Once a property was pursued, Teresa made sure I was introduced to the right vendors. This included utilities, insurance, and local knowledge without being pushy or questionable. Example fire insurance my agents of 8 years quoted a price 3 and a half times what the local agents quoted. Additionally this is my first property with a well and septic system. She guided me with what I should be aware of and the basics on what to expect. Most importantly, she was direct, if she didn't know she didn't fake it or bluff. Lastly, very bubbly and fun personality. Glad to have her expertise.

ZillowVERIFIEDI just purchased my first home with Teresa's help. As a real estate agent I found her to be, number one, very honest and straight forward. Add to that quality her professionalism, knowledge and integrity and you have an agent who will move mountains to get you into your desired home. As a case in point, I will use my experience to illustrate. I found a good looking home with a price I was comfortable with. We submitted the offer and got the gears turning to close the deal. There was a breakdown in communication between the title company and myself which caused a delay in the closing. It got down to the eleventh hour and I feared I would lose the deal. Trying every avenue to no avail to get the deal back on track with literally hours to spare, I got a call from Teresa. She had a solution if I could make it to the title company office that day. I followed her plan and the escrow closed that afternoon. Everyone involved with my purchase tried to come up with a solution to save my buy. It was Teresa who did her magic and pulled the right string for us to close the deal. She promised me she would find me the perfect home and without actually building the home herself (I believe she would have if necessary) she delivered on her promise. We remembered her a few months later when we decided to work with an agent and we gave her a call. Teresa was very interested in what we each wanted in a property, which were in some ways contradictory. She showed us a number of properties and gave us the pro's and con's of the areas around Grass Valley. She always said how we would know our place when we saw it, but we didn't expect it to be the first place we saw. With her assistance, after we considered all of the properties, we decided to make an offer - even though it was a short sale with 2 lenders. Teresa wrote the offer up in such a way that our offer had to be fully processed before other offers could be considered. This proved to be critical, and we may not have been successful without that clause. In the end we got the property and couldn't be happier!
