FAQ
1. What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
I would advise a buyer to have a consultation with an agent and make sure that you're a good fit for each other. Not all agents are created equal. The very first step in the home buying process is to get pre-approved with a lender. I work with John Branch with Guaranteed Rate. Your lender and /Realtor need to work as a team. Steer clear of Rocket Mortgage and Quicken Loans. They throw in extra charges that I am able to see the day before closing.
2. What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
Selers need to be sure that their agent is capabke of handling the transaction from start to finish. You agent should be well versed on all loan types and financing. We need to be sure that the offer that you accept does not fall through due to financing. Make sure your agent is an exert negotiator in order to keep as much of your equity in your pocket as possible. Pricing is extremely important as well. you need an. in market analysis capabilitities.
3. What types of clients have you worked with?
I work with all types of clients. I have many young first time buyers. I market towards college grads, b/c graduating from college counts as 2 years of ob experience. I also with buyers who are relocating. I work with sellers who are upsizing and dowsing. The majority of my sellers are also buyers. I am able to get contingent offers accepted even in this market!
4. Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
Right now I have 21-year-old buyers who reached out to me several months back. We had a consultation and I provided valuable information regarding preparing to be in a position to purchase a home in the near future. The young buyers took all of my advice and in under 3 months they reached out to me, and they were able to be preapproved and we close on Friday! They took all of my advice and ran with it. I was able to get them under contract on the second home we saw, which was the first home that I wrote an offer for and it was accepted! This is so rewarding!
5. How did you get started in Real Estate?
I got started in Real Estate b/c I've always had a passion for working with people. It is my mission to educate and help buyers and sellers make financially savvy decisions. The best financial decision that I ever made was buying my first home at 23 years old. I never rented, aside for a few months when we were waiting for our home to be built here in NC.
6. Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?
I have a Bachelors's degree in Psychology as well as a Master's degree in Education. I am able to really understand the art of negotiation. I have an extremely strategic and pragmatic side to me that enables me to guide my clients to submit offers that will get accepted the first time that we submit one. As a former teacher, I take pride in coaching buyers on preparedness to be able to make their purchase in the near future. My backgrounds in psychology and education go hand in hand to help facilitate a streamlined buying and or selling process for my clients in today's extremely competitive market!

Appreciate Tara for being patient with me throughout this contract. I had a price and refused to go less so even when offers came in I'd have to turn some down and I'm sure that is hard for agents because of the work they've put in but she was understanding. She had the knowledge and experience needed to make this transaction simple. She did a great job from start to end! A professional and I'd definitely work with her again if I ever need an agent again.

Tara was great to work with. She had extensive knowledge and was available when we needed her. Our first offer was a whirlwind and she had her contacts working diligently to get our offer submitted in time. We eventually went with a new build which met our priorities in a new home. We are very thankful for Taras help through the process of buying our first home!
