My wife Christina and I had been thinking of buying a parcel of land for a few years. We found a couple of lots we liked, and my wife contacted Tammy to pick her brain simply for some knowledge about buying land since they had a prior friendship. We had dealt very briefly with a random realtor for information about the lot. BUT, within less than a day of knowing the address for the lot, Tammy had already dug into land deed, the history of it and the farm it had come from and the covenants in the deed. At that point, we suddenly realized that Tammy was our realtor! It just "felt" different than talking with the other realtor, and her emailed video breakdown of everything that needed to happen was very professional, succinct, and information rich. We valued Tammy's candor and knowledge about the house building in general since she knows it all as it is the family business. Her contacts helped us complete our pit/perk test and hopefully more in the near future. Tammy is easy to talk to, on the phone and in person, and wants to know your hopes and dreams and how you can achieve them. And again, her honesty keeps you grounded and within a realm of financial reality. And she keeps on you to meet deadlines too as it could be all too easy to not complete the tasks required for lot buying. Not surprisingly, we did have to hustle quite a bit to complete the pit/perk test. While the lot had sat idle for at least a decade or more (and at least 4yrs with the current owner), the seller wanted a faster closing time. Tammy fought for a longer period for us, but he wouldn't budge. Undaunted, we immediately called the excavator Tammy provided us with and got the pit test set up and completed. The perk test required some brush hogging and then my wife and I digging the six holes for the test. We got it all done and passed with 2 weeks to spare and closed with 1 week to spare in the 60day allotted time!!! It was tight, stressful, and a lot of work, but worth it. And Tammy was there to poke and cheer us on the whole way! We really could not have done it without her. She is awesome! Thanks Tammy!
