1. What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
Set the groundwork for success. Before you are ready to view homes, talk with a lender to understand how much you can afford, what loan type, and any conditions/concessions you might need to buy a home. Then talk with your Realtor to discuss your needs, areas you are interested in, timing, etc.
2. What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
Work with a professional who goes above and beyond the "basics" required to list your home. Buyers today can view your home anytime, anywhere, and from any device so you need to have marketing, content, and collateral to support this and put your best foot forward every time. Also, if you are OK with Open Houses, find an agent who will host these on your behalf and schedule these as close to listing as possible to gain exposure.
3. What types of clients have you worked with?
All Sellers, Acreage Sellers/Buyers, Luxury Sellers/Buyers, 1st-time Buyers, move-up Buyers, downsizing Buyers/Sellers, military, relocation, and investors
4. Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
I worked with an adorable and wonderful gentleman in his 80s. Het did not want to sell but felt he had to so he could move close to his wife in a local memory care facility. With a parent in a similar situation, I could relate and took the time to talk with him, listen to him, plan for the listing, and make the process as stress-free as possible. He had a very specific timeline and we were able to get the home sold the first weekend on the market, for above list price, and with minimal requirements for the Seller. He was relieved that we exceeded his needs and expectations.
5. How did you get started in Real Estate?
After a career working in technology start-ups leading sales teams across the country, I decided I would like to work directly with people in my community where I could make a difference in people's lives.
6. Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?
My college education and previous careers roll into everything I do as a Realtor. My degrees in Hotel Management (service) and Leadership (working with others) complement my 20 years in the hotel industry serving people daily, understanding their needs, and creatively solving problems. My 10 years in technology sales leadership working in security, digital marketing, website and app development, SaaS, and mobile devices are also valuable building blocks for being a Realtor.
