ZillowVERIFIED Lets just say I waited a while to write this review to give him time to follow up with me. But it never happened. Would have to say the worst experience buying a house. Bought a brand new house through Steve. I get things can go wrong but he never bothered to follow up with issues that didnt get sorted before closing which pushed things over another month after closing was meant to be, so ended up costing me more money. Also a year on and the issues that never got fixed on the house are still not done - missing trims In some rooms, leaking back door, damaged front door, crooked wall in laundry, floor thats lifting at joins. Last time I talked to Steve was told to take it up with the builder. Pretty unprofessional. When i was looking at buying the house was told I cant offer anything less than asking price. I feel I was ripped off as we bought the place before it was finished so fell as though they finished the house on the cheap since it was already sold. Was told I would get landscaping which never happened. They wouldnt put anything in writing as was told everything would get down and to take their word. We still like the house just not the way things were handled. Ive learnt a lot through this process on not to trust peoples word and get everything in writing. Live and learn I suppose.

ZillowVERIFIED Steve is a fantastic realtor. He greatly surpassed any other realtor we've worked with as buyers. He really went the extra mile for us. At times we were out of town and he went and checked out every house we asked him about and reported on them or toured it with us on Skype. He is extremely knowledgeable about construction, and looked into every small detail of each home's construction and let us know where there were problems and whether they were easily fixable or not. He even did things like climb up into the attic of a home to find out if there was sufficient insulation. He never tried to "sell" us on a house but was very honest about whether he thought a house was good or not - if a house had drawbacks, he was clear about pointing them out. He also is extremely knowledgeable about the area and was helpful in answering all our questions related to living here and caring for a home, such as pest control, utilities, appliances, amenities, building a dock, etc. When we found the home we wanted to buy, he was a great advocate in the inspection, making sure no stone was left unturned. He is also very skillful in negotiating on your behalf. I highly recommend him!

ZillowVERIFIED He is the only truly great realtor I have ever known. I just can't say enough about how well this man does his job. He is above all a negotiator. As buyers, we paid 15K less than what we told him we were willing to pay. That PROVES that he puts his client first since paying what we were willing to pay would have just meant more commission for him. He made a good argument to the sellers about why he felt our offer was fair based on the market and they agreed. Next, he knows homes. He did construction. He pointed out a small crack in the ceiling at a property we looked at and told us why that showed poor construction and that we needed to walk away from a house that looked high-end to my untrained eyes. Also, he is the first agent we've used that found the property for us that we ended up buying. We liked his pick better than our internet finds! He was prompt to resolve concerns and ran the transaction so smoothly that we never felt a bump. He also advocated for us for things we didn't know we needed. When our AC broke two weeks after moving in, we were happy to realize that it was fully covered under the protection plan he negotiated and he had even talked the sellers into paying extra so we would have a very small deductible on the plan. We didn't even ask him to do that! He was respectful to the sellers and kept them happy too as far as I know. I'm dealing with an unscrupulous agent now in another state and miss Steven so much! He may seem a bit abrupt at first but this man does not use flowery language or tell you what you want to hear. There is no BS from this guy. We chose him based on his reviews here on Zillow, and all these positive reviews don't lie. If you have a chance to work with Steven, say yes! He is one of the good ones!

One good instance is, I first initiated loan with one online lender and it happened to be that the final closing cost seems to be way more than expected. As I was not aware of this loan process, I reached Steve and he spoke to the lender and saved me from paying additional money from my pocket.He is reachable at any time on all days. ZillowVERIFIED I happened by chance upon Steven through a property inquiry on Zillow. I am/was most pleased with his services and felt it important to write a review so others would feel confident to use him too. Steven knows NW Arkansas really well. He's not afraid to drive anywhere to show property. He's an experienced builder which helped when looking at the "bones of a home". And, he knows what to offer, the starting point for negotiating. He has numerous contacts, i.e., service professionals, to assist in most everything needed when buying and having bought a home. I also suggested to my 83 yr old mom she use Steven to sell her house in Bella Vista and he had an offer for her within a week and got very close to full price. He was patient with her too as she filled out the necessary paperwork mostly by hand rather than computer which she was adverse to doing. He's therefore helpful and savvy as both a buyer's agent and a seller's. My mom and I trusted him 100%. We never questioned him having our best interests at heart. He was responsive to all my requests, my rather quirky criteria, which he never questioned but made sure I was happy with what I purchased. He showed me places within 24 hrs if he could get us in since I was often on a time crunch. The only advise I'd give a buyer is you have to be proactive too, searching on Zillow and utilizing the customized portal Steven sends you which can feel overwhelming, but just use your gut feeling in "saving" and "eliminating" properties. It's basically a team effort and though it may feel like trying to find a "needle in a haystack", with Steven's help you WILL find what you are looking for. I highly recommend Steven for both buyer and seller! He's a really good guy to boot and well respected among other realtors in the area which I think says a lot about Steven!

He listened to what I wanted and helped me find just that place exactly, rather than trying to convince me I should want what he was selling. I am an out-of-state buyer and had two days to do a concentrated search. We emailed and talked back and forth and I narrowed the search to about 12 properties before coming to Arkansas. Steve suggested that some of the homes I had picked didn't really fit the criteria I had chosen, but when I said I still wanted to see them, he willingly lined up viewings anyway. He was right! They weren't at all what I wanted but learning what I didn't want was an important part of the decision-making process for me. He gave me the freedom to figure that out even though it meant a lot more work for him. Steve was well-informed which was essential for me because I was not familiar with the area. And if he didn't know the answer to a question, he said so and found out for me. He gave me good advice about negotiating a price when I asked for it, and took care of lining up the inspection and overseeing repairs since I live in another state. And one of the best things was that throughout the process he responded to my texts, emails and calls in a timely fashion. It was a pleasure working with Steve and if I am in the market for property in northwest Arkansas again, I'll immediately call Steve.

He helped me buy three houses in Rogers / Bentonville, AR area at awesome prices and walked with me to setup my rental property business. Which realtor would go that extent ? He has all the contacts, connection and business expertise. Many houses that i liked and wanted to buy right away, he showed me the problems in the house and why i shouldn't buy it etc. Today all my friends consult me to buy a house, but everything i know about housing was infused into me by Mr.Steve. In less than two years, all the three houses have appraised more than 40K each. Steve - you are a rock star realtor!!
