About Steve Wilbur
I have been in the real estate business 25+ years. My wife and I have a blended family of 9 children and 9 grandchildren. All our children are outside of the house, so I can really embrace my "BabyBoomerAgent" brand, because I am one! I specialize in traditional homes, recreational land, and investment properties. My wife is a substitute teacher in middle and high school, after she retired from a career as a dental hygienist. We like to travel the USA and internationally. I have been in the Wichita, KS metropolitan area since the summer between my freshman and sophomore year of high school.

I have had the pleasure of working with all different types. We have a huge aircraft industry in Wichita, KS so we have a lot of very analytical engineer people. I work with a lot of Baby Boomer couples my age or older, so being sensitive to their changing needs and family dynamics is important, and I can relate.
Recently I helped a widowed very nice lady in her mid 80's. I helped her with the current home about 21 years ago. The steps had become difficult, so we found a larger home actually on a slab which helped her in getting around a lot. I also was helping recently a young couple that were first time home buyers, moving from rural west Kansas so helping them navigate the new buyer hurdles was lots of fun.
My first career was selling orthopedic surgery trauma devices. I was always attracted to the real estate business. I made the plunge into real estate finally after years of thinking about it, and never looked back. I started a team pretty early which wasn't as common in the early 2000's.
I have a bachelors degree in teaching with physical education, biology and lots of business classes. It's surprising on how much some of the business and psychology class information I still use. I have several real estate certifications in sub specialties, with investment real estate, recreational land sales, historical homes and traditional homes.
