It's hard to believe the sale has already closed since I feel like Steve just listed it two days ago! The initial concern of living out of state while trying to sell a property in Lake Havasu City was immediately put to rest as Steve was able to anticipate what I needed to get the sale done. He is very well connected to the community and had a preferred list of contractors/specialists to help with everything from cleaning the condo, to plumbing, electrical, pest control, and even where to take donations of furniture. Frustrated, we let the listing expire. it didn't take very long before we were being bombarded with inquiries from other brokers to relist the property with them. He suggested a lower offer than we were going to offer on a house and we got it. He went to the inspector appointment when we could not. He emailed us when he was out of town at a wedding just to let us know after we closed that the previous owner had left a trash can out for trash day. He answered all my calls and emails within that day or the next and I had plenty of them as this was a new thing for me. He even checked up after the closing to see how things were going. We never felt pressured to buy a home, and Steve was always available when we needed him. I remember seeing a house with him one day, and he had mentioned he was leaving for vacation, but that he would be available should I need anything. We left that day, and I realized much to my panic, that I had left my purse behind at the house he had just shown us. I called Steve as soon as we arrived home, and he offered to meet me at the house to help me get my purse. He was happy to do it. When we finally found a home we liked, as we had dragged poor Steve all over, our financing started to fall apart, and Steve came up with several ideas that truly helped us. He is very good at what he does, and I would recommend that, if you are a new home buyer, or even a seasoned home buyer, Steve is someone you can trust to get the job done, and at the best price. We felt that he had our best interests, it wasn't a quota or a number to him. He wanted to make sure that we would be happy for a lifetime in our new home. That quality is hard to find.

ZillowVERIFIED I started working with the Ticknor team in a quest for my families first investment property. I ended up doing all the leg work for finding homes and when I sent the list to the realtor in order for him to weed out the pending properties or properties with offers, he sent back a large list. We spent ten hours looking at homes and then found out later that evening that 80% of those homes already had offers or had already closed. I wrote this off as miss communication. We later settled on one home to put an offer on that was a short sale, which takes a while to close. We of course wanted to still keep our eyes open and when we saw a duplex in our price range we wanted to jump on it. He never got back to us and then stated he would not put offers in unless we looked at the home first (Please realize we live 2 hours away and work full-time plus go to school). We of course lost the duplex and that is when I decided to move on to another realtor. We decided to still keep the offer in and when the offer was cleared yesterday, he sent us an e-mail. All we asked was that he give us till Monday (5 days) for a final decision since we were in the middle of a deal on a duplex that would be finalized on Sunday. This time period was less than what it would have taken for us to do an inspection and this is the message we received from the realtor. . . _____________________________________________________________________This email is not written out of negativity just to explain to you in a very positive manor how this worksaEUR| So, take this as a learning moment.Situations like this are exactly why I didnt write you up on that duplex you wanted me to write your offer at, in Aloha. Not to mention neither one of us had seen it and the RMLS said major fixer. Writing multiple offers all over town can ultimately result in quandaries just like this where you are in a aEURoereal binding contractaEUR? with the seller and a bank accepted offer on the first property along with another one about to be accepted as well?How fair is that to the sellers or if you were selling your home? This property has multiple backup offers now waiting on your decision.I find it interesting that other realtors in this state dont hold to this standard, I do because I care about my clients and legally represent them properly.Ill see if I can buy time until Monday for you and get back with you on what the agent saysaEUR|_____________________________________________________________________Now I found this extremely rude. I would have defended his statement if we asked for two weeks, but common making our efforts sound illegal. This is just plain unprofessionalism.

Scott worked hard to get my business while we were running it as a for sale by owner over the next winter. He was kind and compassionate, truly caring about our reluctance to sell at a loss. We listed with the Ticknors (likely too high a price) in 2010. They let us take our time over price reductions, so we ended up selling in the second year. (Relisted in spring - sold in November 2011.)Then, when my mother's estate needed representation, they were an easy choice. This time we priced it right, and her house sold right away.Steve and Scott are terrific, readily available, nice people. They are the only realtors I would use in the Portland metro area.
