Steve was respectful, informed, and highly competent at his job. As a first-time home buyer who had read up a fair amount, I had both a number of in-depth questions as well as numerous incorrect preconceived notions, and Steve was fantastic at explaining different situations and telling me when he thought I was right and when he thought I might be off base on something and why. Moreover, I greatly appreciated his immediate honesty on what a house did and didn't offer and why.Important to me, personally, was that Steve was fairly familiar with the general costs and processes of improving and updating a home, and was conversant in both standard (e.g., new countertops) and non-standard (e.g., replacing a concrete slab in a garage) upgrades, including which of them I could and/or would want to do myself and which I would want to hire out.On a somewhat secondary note, I had gone on many showings with many realtors before connecting with Steve, and Steve was easily the most pleasant to view a house with in my opinion. In seems like many realtors tend to be over-talkers as they try to impress you with their thoughts and opinions, and Steve only jumped in when there was something interesting and non-obvious to point out. His quiet confidence served him well, and it made me more comfortable as we went to showings.

I met Steve while we were both walking our dogs, and I couldn't be more thankful that our dogs introduced us to one another. Steve was a fantastic realtor and I can't recommend him enough. Steve was never pushy and encouraged us to take our time to find the house that was right for us. He was refreshingly honest-- if he didn't like a house, he would tell us and explain why. As a first time buyer, I found this incredibly helpful -- he's an expert, and provides expert advice, even if it means that it may prolong the home buying process. He really cares about his clients getting the most out of their money.Steve is great at staying on top of the latest and greatest houses on the market. He was consistently sending us emails or texts, and was always available to see a house within a day or less of when we expressed interest. We were the first to visit the house we ended up buying, and there was at least one other offer a day or so later. Had Steve not been so quick to get us into the house and put together a competitive offer, we would have lost our amazing home. Given Steve's honesty throughout the search process having his approval of the house really meant a lot. Steve has so many "bonuses" as a realtor that shouldn't be taken for granted. He has a fantastic list of resources for once you've bought a home: contractors, painters, electricians, etc. Anything you could possibly need, he knows someone who can get it done. He knows the area really well, so he can tell you the advantages and disadvantages of each neighborhood. Additionally, Steve is an attorney-- so you are truly getting much more than just a realtor! Finally, Steve is easy to talk to and has a great sense of humor. He made what could have been a stressful experience a lot of fun!
