There were several instances where we toured more expensive properties that would have netted him a much higher commission. Instead of pushing for the sale, Stephen took the time to point out why those homes weren't a good fit or a solid investment. He actually advised me to pass on them because he didn't feel they were a good deal, proving that he truly had my best interests at heart. Our relationship goes back several years and in all that time we have never been anything but pleased with Stephen's performance. He's thorough. He listens well and was responsive to our needs. He's patient and kind, not the least bit pushy, though he's dogged in his approach. Stephen got us very good prices on both home sales and made the closing process simple and painless. We must have looked at 30 to 40 homes when searching for one home, and never in that time did Stephen show impatience. We've worked with a lot of realtors over the years but none of them comes close to Stephen in his professionalism and good natured determination.

Every other realtor I spoke with wanted to list at a much lower price even though I had an appraisal already that was much higher then they wanted to list. Under this pandemic time, I never met Stephen face-to-face.. However, communication was excellent and efficient for all necessary paperwork and document signing.. The first bid on my cabin came on the first day on the market and was sold in 4 days. This was a virtual experience that worked out great. When I could not make it the the cabin (my second residence) Stephen was more than willing to check on things in my place.

During the exploratory process of searching on Zillow for homes, we picked several possibilities and called Stephen to investigate. When we finally landed on what we thought was the perfect home for us, he assisted in the negotiation of the purchase and in recommending competent home inspector and attorney options since we were not from the area. He also acted as an intermediator with questions we had of the previous owner with respect to utilities and services for that area. Every aspect of the transaction was handled as smoothly as we could have possibly hoped for having been out of the home buying market as we had been for forty years.
