FAQ
1. What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
As an agent, some advice I would give to a homebuyer is:
- Know your budget and get pre-approved
-Do your research. Research neighborhoods to find one that matches your lifestyle and needs. Look into schools, amenities, public transport, and crime rates.
-Be clear about your priorities. What are you deal breakers?
-Work with a trusted Agent.
-Don't rush the decision. It’s easy to get excited, but make sure you take the time to consider everything carefully. This is a huge financial commitment, so be patient and don’t feel pressured to make a decision too quickly.
-Be ready to compromise. It’s rare to find a home that’s perfect in every way. Be ready to compromise on some things, but also know your limits.
-Stay within your comfort zone. It’s tempting to stretch your budget, but don’t overextend yourself. You want to feel comfortable with your mortgage payments, not stressed about them.
2. What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
As an agent, some advice I would give a seller trying to sell there home is:
-Price it right. Pricing is one of the most important factors when selling a home. Overpricing can lead to your home sitting on the market for too long, while underpricing could leave money on the table.
-Declutter and Depersonalize. Buyers need to imagine themselves living in your space, so remove personal items like family photos, excessive decorations, and clutter. This will make your home feel more spacious and neutral.
-Make necessary Repairs. Take care of any small repairs that might be obvious to buyers, like leaky faucets, broken tiles, or cracked walls. A well-maintained home gives the impression that it’s been well-cared for.
3. What types of clients have you worked with?
I have worked with First-Time Home Buyers, Repeat Buyers, Military Clients, Investors, Sellers, Renters and clients are are Relocating to the area.
4. How did you get started in Real Estate?
I got started in real estate after working in property management for several years. When my family and I moved to Virginia Beach, I found myself in need of a new career that offered more flexibility, especially since I had three kids to care for and a husband who was deployed at the time. Real estate provided the perfect solution, allowing me to build a career that offered both independence and the ability to set my own schedule. With my background in property management, I already had a strong understanding of the housing market and the needs of clients, which made the transition to real estate feel like a natural next step. It has allowed me to balance my family life while helping others find their perfect homes.
5. Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?
I am a Principal Broker and Team Lead and have trained many agents when it comes to Real Estate. I have negotiated all types of deals for my clients to help them get the best deal possible that fits their needs.
