My name is Simon Watson and I am a Realtor based in the Bay Area. I make sure my clients don't buy the wrong home or sell a house and leave money on the table. Since the VA loan program's inception in 1944, the Department of Veterans Affairs has backed more than 21 million loans for veterans, active-duty military members, and their spouses. This program has made buying a home more accessible to those who most deserve the American dream they helped build and protect. One of our recent sales was working with a veteran who was currently deployed overseas. Working with his wife, we were able to get into contract a week after returning from a year long deployment using Facetime and lots of photos. It's critical for military borrowers to use an Realtor who's worked with VA loans and understands the program's requirements. My wife and I recently bought a house with Simon's assistance. I liked working with Simon because he was always available via phone, text, or email for anything we needed. On short notice, he could meet me during the day to check out one house quickly or spend the whole day looking at multiple listings. When we visited a house, he did a great job of being there to answer questions but also giving us time and space to explore the house. He used his experience to point out aspects of the house that we may have missed. If we saw a house we liked, he emailed us comps the same day. This was critical to putting together offers in a competitive market. In the end, we made 3 offers with the last one being accepted. We are very happy with our new home and the purchase went very smoothly. Throughout the process Simon was very engaged, helpful, and a pleasure to work with. One of the factors that we looked for when picking an agent was knowledge. We used a VA home loan and wanted to ensure the agent we selected was very familiar with the process. Simon did not disappoint. I really appreciated that Simon was very responsive and easy to reach. His online platform is also easy to navigate. During open houses, Simon would point out things in the home or area that we overlooked. For example: type of roofing, fencing, water heaters, AC units, leaks, etc. All these things can cost a lot of money and time. When you're browsing for houses you sometimes get caught up on how beautiful the house looks, and can overlook at how much actual work the house needs underneath the freshly painted walls and carpets. So to have someone point out all these factors was a big help. Overall he is knowledgeable, thorough, and gets things done. I would recommend him!
