Simons level-headed and even approach suited our process the best, through his careful curation of the listing process, we were able to advertise our property and secure over 30 showings in the first weekend, with an offer following days after. While the offer was for below list price, Simon assisted in the negotiation process greatly, helping us settle on a fair sale price that ended up being just a touch above the appraisal - just where you want to be. An excellent experience overall, and I would not hesitate recommending Simon to anyone.

ZillowVERIFIED I was a little concerned that Houwzers compensation model might lead to less than stellar service, but that absolutely was not the case. Simon was responsive via call, text, or email and promptly reached out whenever there was new information. His expertise was instrumental in choosing the best listing price for our goals. There were multiple offers right about at asking after the first weekend of showings, and Simon was quite knowledgeable when walking me through the pros and cons of each. Even when there were a few hiccups on the road to closing to comply with the first time homebuyer program the buyers were using, Simon already had a solution prepared when he called to tell me about it and was a patient and calming presence when I was upset, panicking, and jumping to worst case scenarios. The fact that Simon was able to instill such confidence in his abilities, make me feel truly supported, and inspire trust that I had a capable advocate during a challenging completely remote environment was truly remarkable. I could not recomment him more highly.

We worked with Simon, who was immensely patient with us as we navigated the estate (and grieving) process. He was professional, responsive, and knowledgeable. When we finally made it to listing months later, the house sold in 5 days; above asking; and within a few thousand dollars of Simons original market estimate. If saving money is your thing, Houwzers business model reduces the sellers cost over traditional sales fees. There is little need for excessive praise when the results speak for themselves.

ZillowVERIFIED The initial attraction to using Houwzer to sell our Maryland home was that it would save us over $10,900 in agent fees. This is the first discounted real estate agency weve ever used so we were a bit hesitant as to how well it would work out. Simon Timm, our Houwzer agent, was a constant, reassuring contact in this potentially stressful procedure. He answered all our questions as they arose & has a very knowledgeable, calming personality. Although we never met in person, we felt very comfortable relying on Simon to advise us well based on our specific situation.Yes, going with Houwzer rather than a traditional agent, you have more paperwork to complete on your own (like the listing info- How many bedrooms? Bathrooms? Is the clothes dryer hookup gas or electric?...) but Simon was always just a text or phone call away if we had any questions. We had numerous showings, scheduled through a handy app, and four offers which basically caused a bidding war. Simon advised us on the advantages vs disadvantages of each of the offers. In the end, we sold within just a couple weeks & for $20k over asking price! We highly recommend Houwzer and Simon Timm if you plan to sell your home in the areas they provide service.

He shared valuable information regarding the local market during the pandemic. He came up with a reasonable strategy at every step, and he was accommodating to what I wanted to do without any pressure. It was such a relief to work with a realtor as calm and patient and thorough as Simon. He never pressured me with anything. Yet he was very responsive and professional with every communication - email, text, or phone call. I always knew what was going on at all times. I would definitely recommend Simon as a listing agent. Houwzer also has a really organized system and offered convenient and secure ways to sign and keep track of documents, which I was worried about since I was selling from far away, and with a 6 hour time difference. I wasnt sure what I would get with such a low fee, but Houwzer is completely full service! And I saved so much money! It is great that their staff is not commission based and salaried so that any underlying intentions are eliminated and they can also retain higher quality staff.

ZillowVERIFIED I have worked with several real estate agents in my life and what I loved most about Simons approach is that he did not insert his own agenda into my personal sales strategy. My wife and I were not desperate to sell our house and were willing to wait out the market. Many real estate agents dont want to wait and will put pressure on their clients to drop the price and get a quick sale. However, Simon never put pressure on us and acted more as an adviser to tailor our strategy to best meet or needs. In addition to providing great advice, he was also available at all times of the day via text, phone, or email. He even went out of his way to contact me during his vacation.
