About Sherri Sampsel
I come from the world of healthcare where I built a busy nurse practitioner practice. One of my main responsibilities as a nurse practitioner was to listen, advocate, educate, and provide recommendations for patients. These same skills carry with me over to real estate. I care deeply for my clients and work for them in their best interest to achieve the best and quickest outcome for them. I pride myself in being detailed, personable, and accessible. My desire to help people is ingrained in me and you'll find someone who works to help you and your family in your real estate needs. I left healthcare to find more flexibility for my family, but get to continue doing what makes me tick; advocating for others, listening to their hopes and dreams, guiding people through important steps in their lives, and maintaining integrity and care along the way.
Community Involvement
I am involved with my real estate team's community outreach as well as I personally hold a Season of Hope Tree during the Christmas season to collect items and gift cards for a local nonprofit in need.
HOBBIES/INTEREST
I like to be outdoors with my family, whether it be biking, running, or just hanging out. I'm a lifelong learner and love to read.
FAMILY
I am married with four children. The kids are into horses, baseball, ballet, and running. We have a Labrador Retriever, Labradoodle, Golden Retriever, Old English Sheepdog, and a Maine Coon; all the dogs are a little older so its not as crazy as it sounds, they're happy to lounge around.

FAQ
Know your Needs vs. your Wants. It can be overwhelming to decide what you are looking for when you don't have a direction. I encourage you to get out a piece of paper divide in half and label the left side "Needs" and the other half "Wants". Then start with writing down the things that you need for a house to function for everyday life for you and your family...ask yourself questions like is school district important, how do we live everyday, what things are important for our family, is it outdoor space because that's where you and your family spend most of your time, is it kitchen storage because you love to bake or cook, is it a small yard because you don't have time or don't want much upkeep, is it large bedrooms, do you need a place for pet food and water dishes to be set up? Really think through your daily life to answer these questions. Then move onto the "Wants" column...these are things that would be nice to have, but don't make or break your everyday life. If you don't need them to have a house function for you well, then it's a "Want". This helps clarify what is really important so you don't miss out on a house that captures all your needs but misses one or two wants; likewise you don't get blinded by a cool feature and forget its missing a key "need" to make your house run smoothly for you. This list of things you've created now gives you a guide for house buying that can help make the process less overwhelming. Its still important to remain flexible as no house is perfect, not even brand new construction.
The agent is there to help guide you and I encourage you to really listen to their advice on pricing upfront as well as price change recommendations moving forward if needed. The agents get to hear the feedback from open houses or when other agents take clients through your house, they send feedback on what their clients had to say. This all helps guide your agent in making recommendations to help you get your house sold as quickly as possible. If they recommend a price adjustment, there's probably a good reason for it and it can often be more beneficial to move that price than sit another month or two on market before listening to this advice.
I've worked with local clients as well as out of state clients with needs for virtual showings and real advocacy for them since they were unable to see properties themselves due to their out of state location. I've been able to thoroughly meet their needs even when out of state and get them to closing. I work with clients looking to build and help them secure their property and get them in touch with reputable builders and guide them through this process. I love the build process and have done it a few times myself.
I recently helped clients secure a beautiful piece of property to build their house on, connecting them with a builder, and am helping them through the process of building and all that entails while working closely with the builder. I can't wait to see their finished house!
I met my team lead through our children's school. I had thought about real estate for probably close to 10 years before I made the leap into it. I finally decided real estate felt like the right move for my family and I reached out to the mom of one of my daughter's school friends, who is in real estate. We met for coffee and talked for a few hours, we had shared vision for our families and careers, and as they say...the rest was history. I jumped in, got my schooling done, and joined her real estate team to be a mom entrepreneur!
I have an eclectic background with Bachelor degrees in Communications and Nursing and a Master's degree in nursing. I believe all my past education and career experiences have been brought together in one career of real estate. It really combines all my strengths and attributes into one career that allows me to provide expertise, high level communication, empathy, active listening, negotiating skills, warmth, and advocacy for real estate clients.
