The house wasn't exactly what the buyer wanted, but we received positive feedback from the buyer and Sheila about the condition of the house for sale. Within a week, Sheila had arranged for a professional stager and photographer to enhance the beauty of the house on the internet. She even arranged to have several inches of snow fall the night before the pictures for an extra special effect (kidding!). Another week later, after a dozen showings, we had multiple offers and the house was sold. We honestly couldn't imagine a sale going more smoothly. She was always timely with responding to my needs, never pushy, always honest, listened to my wants/needs/concerns and remembered them, worked hard to seek out properties that fit my criteria, and when she found one that was exactly what I was looking for and I wanted to make an offer, I was really impressed with Sheilas guidance. She pointed out both the pros and cons of the house, its price, the timing/market conditions, and presented different options as far as what I could put into my offer, but made no attempt to push me in either direction. She wanted me to be happy with whatever decision I came to, so she just provided me with valuable information and insights to aid me in making a decision. I felt like I was working with a friend who truly wanted the best for me, and I believe I was. Once I decided to make an offer, Sheila again had valuable insights into different ways we could arrange the offer in order to motivate the seller that didnt include more funds on my part. The offer was accepted and the closing date was very tight. Sheila and the mortgage officer worked very hard and extremely quickly to make the tight closing possible. I have been living in my new home for almost 2 months and am very happy. Sheila still checks in with me about the home aEUR" her service didnt end with the signing of the contract. As an added bonus, Sheila was also really fun to work with and is easy to talk to. She made the whole process fun and as stress-free as possible.

Unlike others we had interviewed, she took a deep look at the condition of our home and the improvements we made to it. She took highly detailed notes and suggested we really think outside of the box. One of the best selling features to us was the view of the horizon off our deck. She made sure to highlight the lifestyle aspect of the house, not just the brick and mortar. Because of her attention to detail, she was able to come up with a very reasonable listing price. ZillowVERIFIED After wondering whether I should just buy and sell my house on my own, I decided to use a realtor and called Sheila. It was one of the best decisions I have made and could not have been happier with the work Sheila did for us.When selling our house, she did a lot of research on the neighborhood and was able to help us maximize our asking price. Our house was a cluttered mess and she took the time to go through the house to advise us on what needed to change (and there was a lot) to make it show better. There were a few repairs to make and Sheila recommended affordable and trustworthy people to do the repairs. On the buying side, she was just as great. We provided her with a list of houses we wanted to see and she ALWAYS was able to check on the status of the house and get us in to see it if it was available. She knew we were excited to see houses and went above and beyond to make sure we could get in. During the offers of both houses, she provided her expert advice and we got a very fair price for the sale of our house. She sat down with us and really listened to what our needs were in a new home. Her knowledge of the area comps made us confident that we would be pricing our home fair to us and a potential buyer. She had wonderful ideas about how to prepare our home for the best outcome at showings, and showings and open houses were often. We were shown homes on our list for purchase per our request, and with our needs in mind, homes she felt had potential for our family. Her knowledge of the Madison area is incredible, and if she couldn't answer a question for us, she found someone who could. While there can and will be bumps in the road during a sale, she eased our minds with each one, tackling them as they came up, and always taking a stance for the benefit of her client. Her communication between client and other realtors was constant. Our house had an accepted offer in 3 weeks, and was closed a month later. ZillowVERIFIED We weren't the easiest buyers, but Sheila helped us find a great home under changing timelines, subject to atypical financial conditions, and in a very hot real estate market. When it came to finding a home that met our needs, Sheila was spot on. She was great at taking our list of priorities and translating that list to real houses for us to look at. When it came to visiting homes, Sheila accommodated our work schedule and put together tours on short notice - sometimes even faster than we could commit to. That being said, we weren't too picky when it came to size, layout, or finishes. Circumstances surrounding our home search demanded that we moved quickly to purchase a home when our funds were available. Sheila accommodated our uncertain timelines. For several months, she helped us keep a current short-list of homes we would like to move on when the time was right. Sheila's knowledge of the real estate market helped us put a fair offer on the home. However, I cannot evaluate her negotiation skills - our first offer was accepted with only minor modifications. Sheila's firm uses an automated system to send out real estate listings that match your "profile." We found these listings to be unhelpful. The list of properties in each email was difficult to look through, because there was unpredictable overlap between each of the emails. It was difficult to see which listings were ones we had already rejected. I think those recommendations would have been more useful if Sheila didn't have the system send them directly to us, but rather curated and filtered the list before sending them our way.
