ZillowVERIFIEDShelia got us through what a best be described as a difficult selling experience. The marketing tools she used were excellent - I loved the video tour of the house and the drone footage showing the neighborhood. Shelia provided a lot of encouragement and practical help with selling our house. The house was under contract four times and three of those contracts were cancelled. For someone trying to sell a house, a contract cancellation is such a disheartening experience. Each contract generated a separate inspection with different requests for repairs. We had already moved 350 miles from Anderson, so Shelia stepped in and helped with finding contractors and checking that the necessary work was done. She was so encouraging and so very communicative. Her perseverance in difficult circumstances paid off - we sold the house for a price we were very happy with! I am so glad that the Shelia and her team were our realtors. I don?t believe that you will find anyone more committed to their clients than the Shelia Newton team at C. Dan Joyner Realty.

ZillowVERIFIED Sheila represented me in selling both of my properties. With her expert marketing skills she sold my house in two weeks time. The fourth family that came in to see it bought it. I had a mobile home to sell also that offered a bit of a challenge. Mobile homes are harder to sell and financing for them is hard to get. Sheila connected me with a realtor in the city that I was relocating to. She and the realtor in the city I was moving to worked together in helping to find me the perfect home. The key in making all of this work was the closing for all three properties Sheila managed to have the properties in South Carolina closed within one month of each other and in the new state they closed the following week. Sheila knows her business and does it very well. She is dedicated and hard-working and does not give up when trying to accomplish a goal. ZillowVERIFIED I enlisted Sheilas help to sell a 3 bedroom rental property in Anderson. It was not a perfect property and needed some repair work which Sheila coordinated and we appreciated. My goal in this writeup is to fairly represent our experience. To her credit we did receive a lowball offer and one better offer which resulted in a contract. That deal fell through for reasons not related to Sheila. However, our issue with Sheila was her attitude and lack of willingness to PROFESSIONALLY market the property. I repeatedly asked Sheila to have the property professionally photographed. She ignored the request several times and finally refused via email messages citing her own photos as good as a professionals. That is simply untrue. She did not do one single wide angle lens shot, had no quality lighting etc. Upon pressing her further with this she finally offered to split the cost with us for half the cost. Say what? You want us to pay half of a marketing expense to get this property sold? WRONG! That is HER job and her responsibility, not ours. Further I sent her contact info for a photographer who offered digital professional photos for $150. She was unwilling to spend $150 to showcase the property in the best possible manner via professional photos online? I am a licensed agent in another city. I professionally photographed my clients properties. I called my clients regularly with updates. I let my clients know marketing efforts Id made besides just sticking the listing in the MLS and waiting for something to happen. She did not engage in any such verbal communication other than her automated, system-generated notification a showing had occurred etc. Not the best way to give your clients good communication. I used a referral program called Agent Machine to enlist Sheilas help. In the end, I felt she did not meet the standard I expected and when I brought these concerns to her attention she responded with rude and unprofessional emails. I cannot recommend her services any longer. Sheila is an adequate agent but she is by no means consistently courteous, mannerly nor does she demonstrate a willingness to pull out all the stops to get the job done.
