ZillowVERIFIED If you are looking to buy a home, you need to work with Sharon. I first met Sharon in March of last year after I expressed interest in buying a condo in Downtown Long Beach. It wasn't yet the right time for me to buy, so I eventually took a hiatus from the search, but Sharon was professional, smart, and helpful. Then, in August, I decided it was time to look again, this time for a single family home, and reached out to Sharon, who was more than happy to help. At the end of this search, she helped me find the perfect home. Sharon and I looked at probably 16 homes, she wrote 5 offers for me (a first-time homebuyer with 5% down and a tight budget), stood by me when I had to cancel escrow on an accepted offer, and finally helped me close on an amazing home within my budget and in a great location. It is important to note that I was searching for a home in Long Beach and surrounding areas in an escalating seller's market with very little supply in my budget range. That said, Sharon made the seemingly impossible possible. Sharon is dedicated -- she fought tooth and nail to help me be able to stay in the first escrow by advocating for credits on inspection issues with the seller's agent and spoke with contractors to see if the issues could be resolved for less. She stood with me despite quite a few first-time homebuyer anxieties that would occasionally (scratch that -- frequently!) arise . Sharon is smart -- she knows the Long Beach/Lakewood/San Pedro/Cypress (among other places!) market well and has a good working relationship with other agents. Further, she offered great design/renovation/repair advice during our journey through many the many homes we viewed. Finally, Sharon is determined -- if you feel like you aren't competitive in this wild real estate market, talk to Sharon. On one offer, I was competing against 53 other potential buyers! That said, my offer was competitive, not because of my terms (see above) but because of Sharon's advocacy, reputation, and ability to put together a great offer. Sharon's performance was consistent -- on several of the offers I made, I was competitive (including being back-up offer) with all-cash buyers who offered far more than I did. Once I found my home, Sharon worked through her evening to put together an offer for the next morning, a Saturday, which was accepted! She gave me sound advice to make the best possible offer I could. Closing was smooth thanks to Sharon and Closing Coordinator Roni St. John. I am now the proud owner of a great home in Long Beach, and am so grateful to Sharon, Oriana Shea, and Roni for helping me get there. In short, if you are a homebuyer (especially a first-time homebuyer) I HANDS DOWN recommend Sharon Armstrong. She is a fantastic agent and a great friend. I look forward to referring friends and family to her in the future.
