I have had the pleasure of working with investors, partnerships, first time-home buyers and luxury clients in both selling and buying real estate.
In one of my recent transactions, I represented my buyers in the purchase of their home. As I do with all my buyers, I initially sat down with them to truly understand what they were looking for in a home and why. Understanding this, we went straight to home shopping. We had looked at homes for about two or three weeks until we found the perfect home for them. This home was special to them because it was close to family and close to their son's school district which was important to them.
When we went under contract, I was able to negotiate the sales price down $5K plus $10K on closing costs so that my buyers could buy down the rate. Then when it came to conducting their home inspections, I was able to negotiate a termite clearance and $1,500 for repairs paid by the seller!
My favorite thing about this transaction was learning that when we got our appraisal back, the appraisal came back higher than our offer price, gaining my clients $23,000 in equity!
It was truly exciting to see how my clients was able to win all across the board. It was their first time buying a house, and I can truly say that it couldn't have gone any better than that!
I was always interested in real estate, but I was hesitant to get into it because I was worried that I wouldn't be able to manage the financial aspects. In 2021, when my mom and I came to my pastor/broker for real estate advice regarding our home, he had encouraged me to get in the business.
At that time, I was finishing up my bachelors degree in Business Administration at Cal State Fullerton and I had a semester off. I had always been intrigued by the idea of real estate, so I decided to dedicate my free time to learning more.
I quickly realized that this was something I was passionate about, and I decided to take a leap and got my real estate license. Shortly after graduating from my college, I dedicated real estate full time to better assist my clients in buying and selling their homes. I haven't looked back since and I'm now a successful real estate agent and I'm proud to help people buy and sell homes.
It's been a great journey so far, and I'm looking forward to seeing where my career takes me!
