ReviewA group rented The Boatyard in Cape Elizabeth for 3 nights. Our point person dealt with an agent at this office. The short term rental property was beautiful and well equipped, but dirty to the point of disgust. Upon receiving details of the property condition with a few pix of some utter filth, the agent's response was "I am beyond horrified". Despite her alleged horror, the reply to a refund request for the $500 cleaning fee was a list of irrelevant defenses, and a mere $100 refund. Our group is beyond horrified by this unprofessional and nauseating experience.

She was on top of everything, knew all the legal aspects of the contract, negotiating and communicating w all appropriate people, offering all options of each situation that arose during inspection, appraisal, addendums to the contract, and anything else that came up prior to, during and after closing. She was in constant communication with us guiding us along, keeping us on target with all deadlines, what comes next, etc with great respect, humor, knowledge, and much TLC which helped a great deal. Review After interviewing four realtors in Portland, I chose to work with Katie Brooke at Scott & Sunny Townsend, which was the best decision I could have made. I was a nervous, first-time home buyer and I was moving from New York, which complicated it even more. I knew that I needed someone who could communicate well and in a timely manner, and who could by my eyes and ears here in Portland during the search. Katie was amazing. Each week we would discuss properties and she would manage to get them all scheduled during my short weekend visits. When she was out of town one weekend, I was well taken care of by other members of the Townsend team. She answered all of my questions, repeatedly, and made me feel comfortable with the entire process. Katie's advice and market savvy kept me on track, and kept me from overpaying for a house in a very hot market. I ended up with exactly what I wanted, paid under-market price and am very satisfied. Post sale Katie has kept me supplied in contractors and helpful hints prior to my move, she's met people at the house when I couldn't be there, and even offered to mow my lawn so the house would look lived in! Katie Brooke is fantastic, always available and responsive and always right on top of things. I have never once had to call her to follow up on something that she said she was taking care of. Her knowledge of the local market is awesome and she is always a delight to be around. Review The entire team is very impressive - I cannot say enough about my experience with them, from their suggestions regarding getting my house ready for pictures / open house to their promotional materials (including an amazing video taken by a drone flying overhead) and very impressive use of social media for marketing to their extensive network of reliable skilled individuals that they are able to recommend as needed (plumbers, handymen, stagers, etc.) - it's obvious at every step of the way that they know what they are doing and do it well. Review I've worked with Scott on 3 real estate transactions. I've had different needs at different points of my life. Scott has been able to work with me at a personal level to understand my needs and wants, and then execute a strategy for success. On our last transaction, Scott worked with us very closely to understand what we were looking for, and then managed to find our dream home and network locally to get us in before the house even went on the market. We went under contract on the house for far less than we expected to spend. Scott is an expert in his market, has a keen sense of trends both locally and nationally and it is obvious to me that he strives for continuous improvement with himself and his team.
