Previously, I have bought (and sold) 3 homes, and I knew this fourth was going to my last. I also knew living in Chicago and given the current market conditions that I needed to work with a buyer's agent who was both service oriented and a market expert to find my 'final resting' place. When I first reached out to Sarah back in December of 2020, she returned my call the next day: from 'way'overseas visiting her in-laws. High marks there for responsiveness and technical savvy. She had me at 'Hi, this is Sarah Maiga, how can I help you?'. Her oranizational skills, passion, reputation for integrity, and her strong network of building contractors and fellow real estate professionals allowed me to comfortably explore many options without compromise ranging from major remodels, homes requiring only cosmetic re-finishing, to new construction . Sarah's boys always showed up at their appointed times and their estimates were fair and valid. After 6 visits to Michigan over 3 months and viewing 12 or so homes, Sara and I dialed in on a home requiring only cosmetic re-finishing. She nimbly approached the listing agent before suggesting I make an offer. The negotiations went quickly and my counter offer, still less than list price, was accepted. In this dysphoric housing market, chance favors the prepared mind. Sarah, her closing team, her inspectors, and her contractors were prepared, punctual, and personable. I would not hesitate to recommend the Maiga team to anybody who priortize a drama-free home search without settling for a 'second choice'.

We interviewed several Realtors who were referred to us, but selected Sarah for several reason:1) Professionalism: Her competition were all well qualified, but our conversations with Sarah left us feeling confident that she could deliver on her end. Her market analysis was spot-on and utilized a analytical approach. She put the work in up front and it showed.2) Marketing: Sarah used all of the usual tools available to promote my parent's condo such as taking professional photos, video of the inside and a drone video of the exterior, a detailed listing online that is propagated to all of the real estate sites and Zillow, and listed it on her own website. But, where Sarah stood out was she took an active roll in further promoting directly to her own network via emails and phone calls. During the real estate shutdown, we even did a virtual live tour of the condo allowing visitors to ask questions. The point being, she didn't just list it and wait for the phone to ring.3) Advocacy: Sarah made it clear that she would be a fierce advocate for us throughout the sales process which started prior to the COVID shutdown, and completed following the reopening. After meeting with several real estate veterans who have been successful in the field for decades, we met with Sarah. ZillowVERIFIED As a first-time home buyer, Sarah was a great fit for us. We were looking for someone who could quickly respond to our questions and provide us advice on what options were available - Sarah surpassed our expectations. We bought in a seller's market, but with Sarah's advice on making an offer, we were able to close on the first home. We had to navigate having major repairs done to the sewer line after inspection, which Sarah handled well. She was proactive in reaching out to our loan officer, the seller's agent (many times), contractors, and the title agent. She prepared the offer letter extremely fast and coordinated online document signing with us throughout the process. Couldn't be happier with our experience.
