The best advice I could give to a buyer in the current market is to make sure your ducks are in a row - have a bank preapproval from your favorite lender (I'm happy to suggest someone who can help you if you'd like). Be ready to move quickly. Unfortunately, there are fewer listings than we prefer, so if you find a home you like, you will need to make a quick decision.
Have your house ready to go! Declutter, clean like never before, touch up paint and make it as move-in-ready as possible. I am happy to stop over and walk through with you. I can provide a to do list of the items that should receive top priority and get you the most bang for you buck!
In 21 years of selling real estate, I have worked with all types of clients! I have worked with investors looking for a home at a low price to allow them to fix it up and gain equity. I've worked with first time homebuyers who need education as to how the process works from beginning to end. I've worked with clients moving from out of state who are unable to be present for showings, so we video chat and walk through the homes they are interested in. After being a speech pathologist for 15 years, I decided it was time for a change. I worked part-time at the jewelry kiosk at Sam's Club as an hourly employee. I found that selling a beautiful piece of jewelry, no matter the cost, (I didn't receive commission) was a thrill for me! I loved watching how happy the item made the customer! I loved getting to know them and sharing in their exciting occasion. When a Realtor offered me an opportunity to join him and learn the ropes as a real estate agent, I took the leap. I've never regretted the decision!
I have a minor in Psychology and a Bachelors in Communication Disorders. I feel like they definitely help me to be a better Realtor. Not only do I have strong communication skills, written and spoken, I also have some knowledge and experience in helping my clients through a very emotional time in their lives. I also have quite a lot of experience navigating through divorce situations with my clients. I have been able to be the impartial go-between to get a marital house sold and to find the sellers a new home with as little stress and anxiety as possible.
