Al LaPeter and Sandy Kantor seemed to have not just experience, but an incredible work ethic and reputations of integrity, just based on our online research. We reached out to Al and Sandy via email to explain we would be moving from Florida. During this COVID way of living, we wondered could we first see homes, virtually? Then if we found something we liked enough, we would make our way out west. Sandy showed a couple of properties to us virtually, and we loved them enough to drive across the country. One in particular, we were ready to buy. On our way out, this home sold, before we could even see it in person. We were so bummed, but Al's optimism kept us heading west, where we decided to stay for a week. The moment we finally met Al and Sandy in person, it only confirmed we were absolutely in the right hands!To say the market is "hot" in Tucson right now would be a grand understatement. We saw so many homes, along with, at times, 40 and 50 other people, lined up to also see them. We made an offer on a home that we were going to gut and renovate. During the inspection period, however, countless problems came up, and Al was able to help us out of purchasing this house. We almost got ourselves into a yucky mess, but Als experience and technical eye for detail got us out of it. (Lesson learned, we should have asked Als advice PRIOR to making an offer! We could have saved ourselves time and a ton of bellyaching!)Al and Sandy bent over backwards with every single house we saw, providing us detailed booklets for each home and property, regardless how many houses we saw, per day. This was by far and away the BEST realtor experience we've ever had. What sets Al and Sandy apart from even other top realtors is their proactive and timely communication, and their SUPER-PROMPT follow through on action items. While we were still in ID, Sandy sent us listings that met our criteria as soon as they hit the market, seeking our feedback and adjusting her search accordingly. We then flew down to Tucson to look at homes and Sandy had everything (full listing info, maps, neighbourhood info and viewing appointments) lined up and ready to go!!! We were able to tour a bunch of homes within two days, and Sandy's insights were truly invaluable. Once we were ready to make an offer, Al jumped in, doing all the market research, paperwork and liaison with the seller's agent. Our offer was accepted and it was at this point that Al REALLY went above and beyond. As we were back in Idaho, Al accompanied the home inspector, identified items that needed to be repaired, and followed up with the sellers to insure all work had been completed. He then went back for the re-inspection,, and did the final walkthrough for us. At the end of each week, Al sent us an update, so we always knew exactly where things stood and what was happening next. And at the last minute, when our closing documents were delayed with Fedex, Al worked with the Title company and our lender to ensure we could close on time.
