I recently bought a house in Norwalk and got referred to Sam by a neighbor. I can't say enough good things about the experience. It was surprisingly smooth, painless...easy! Yep, despite the crazy, pandemic housing market. Sam kept me on track, reminding me what I said I wanted when I was wavering or veering away from my original plan. He is a professional but I felt like he had my back the entire time, like he really cared about my finding a place I loved. He was responsive, patient, personable. Within days of working with him, it became very clear that he had the experience, expertise and connections to make my dream happen in a climate that's sounded like a nightmare for many buyers. Sam's connections?! They. Are. Everything! Honestly, I feel like I hit the jackpot finding Sam, partly because he knows someone reliable who can help you with any issue that comes up in the process. His mortgage bank reco? They made things smooth and simple...and even sent me little gifts to mark the various milestones along the way! His oil tank guy, handyman, electrician..all great. I joked with family and friends that Sam "has a guy" for everything and he really does! I have this sneaking feeling that lots of convos happened on my behalf between Sam and all his contacts. Convos that helped ensure I got what I needed and wanted. He was quietly taking care of my business behind the scenes and things just seemed to flow. When you're a single woman buyer, having this kind of service and trust is so critical. I would recommend Samuel Ham, all his "guys" and his entire team (Jeneen, Nadine, Melinda) without a second's hesitation to anyone buying a house in Norwalk or anywhere nearby. Around September he was excited to shows us a 3 Br apt that he thought was great for us. Seeing the place we really wasn't sure about it but he seem to know the landlord very well. Plus he told us the landlord could probably put a washer n dryer in too. We put down our deposit and for 3 months we got the run around and most of that time we could hardly get any answers to find out what was going on with the place.Finally the inspector was able to inspect the apartment but that's when he noticed the place wasn't vacant so he couldn't continue the inspection. Which we had no clue the landlord was still living in the apartment partime on the weekends. We were under the impression the landlord was ready to have us move in ASAP. Samuel knew all of this but failed to communicate with us. We did not anticipate to go through all this. He wasted our valuable time on one apt which was just absurd. As of Jan 2017 he still hasn't returned our deposit either.

ZillowVERIFIED My wife and I had been working with Sam for the past 6 months on our home search. We start off with a soft search just trying to see what was out there and started narrowing our search down once we got an idea of neighbors and price. Throughout the process Sam was very patient with us exhibiting a client first attitude without rushing us into making a decision that we did not feel comfortable with (5 stars for process expertise). He was very responsive to all our requests, even taking multiple after hours phone calls to answer our questions immediately (5 stars for responsiveness). In the 6-month process we probably saw more than 30+ potential homes and Sam was able to add valuable insight about the property and neighborhoods (5 stars for local Knowledge). We finally settled on purchasing a foreclosed property and this is where Sam truly showed that he was a full service provider. Sam coordinated having inspectors and contractors come and access the property and provide us with an estimate of repairs needed. Based on the expected repairs Sam was able to negotiate a $10,000 credit from the Seller (5 stars for negotiation skills). Also the property did not qualify for a conventional loan but Sam was able to find a lender that would finance the property at very low interest rate. Working with Sam was a blessing and really took out a lot of the stress related to purchasing a home. We are now working with Sam to sell our current property and we would highly recommend him to anyone looking to purchase or sell a home in Fairfield County, CT and the greater Connecticut area.
