FAQ
1. What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
Set a Budget: Determine how much you can afford, factoring in not just the mortgage but also taxes, insurance, and potential maintenance costs. I suggest connecting with a local lender. If you need a recommendation, please reach out.
Get Pre-approved: Work with a local mortgage lender to obtain your pre-approval. This shows sellers you're serious and gives you a clear idea of your budget range.
Research and Location: Consider the neighborhood, nearby amenities, schools, and commute times. It's not just about the house but also its surroundings.
Work with Professionals: Hire a real estate agent. They can guide you through the process and ensure you're making informed decisions.
Home Inspection: Always conduct a thorough inspection to identify any potential issues or repairs needed.
Be Patient: Don’t rush into a decision. Finding the right home takes time.
Negotiate Wisely: Don’t be afraid to negotiate on price, especially if there are legitimate concerns or needed repairs.
Understand the Contract: Review and understand all the terms and conditions before signing any contract.
Future Resale Value: Consider the potential resale value of the property, even if you're planning to stay long-term.
Stay Focused: It's easy to get overwhelmed with emotions during the home buying process. Stay focused on your needs and priorities.
Remember, buying a home is a significant investment. Taking the time to research, plan, and make informed decisions can make the process smoother and more rewarding.
2. What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
Prepare Your Home: First impressions matter. Ensure your home is clean, decluttered, and staged to highlight its best features. Consider small repairs or touch-ups to enhance its appeal.
Price Realistically: Work with your real estate agent to set a competitive price based on current market trends, comparable sales, and the condition of your home.
Curb Appeal: Enhance the exterior—landscaping, fresh paint if needed, and a welcoming entrance can significantly impact a buyer's first impression.
Professional Photography: High-quality photos and, if possible, virtual tours can attract more potential buyers online, where many start their home search.
Flexible Showings: Be accommodating with showing times to allow a broader range of buyers to view the property.
Marketing Strategy: Work with your agent to develop a comprehensive marketing plan. This might include online listings, social media promotions, open houses, and more.
Disclose Everything: Transparency is key. Disclose any known issues or history of repairs to avoid surprises during the negotiation process.
Be Ready for Negotiations: Understand that buyers may come in with offers below asking price. Be prepared to negotiate terms while staying realistic about your bottom line.
Consider Your Timing: Be aware of the market trends and seasonality. Sometimes timing the listing can make a difference in the selling process.
Stay Flexible: Selling a home can be unpredictable. Stay flexible and open to adjustments in strategy or terms if necessary.
3. What types of clients have you worked with?
I have worked with first-time home buyers, clients looking to downsize, families relocating to and from the Tri-Cities. I have assisted clients with 1031 exchanges, purchasing multi-family investment properties as well as rentals. A few others are those that have suffered a loss in the family or may be going through divorce.
4. How did you get started in Real Estate?
My real estate career began in August of 2020. I had previously worked in the health club industry and covid made it very difficult to return. I have worked as a full-time agent since.
5. Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?
I have recently obtained my Senor Real Estate Specialist designation (SRES). I also pursued and completed the Commitment to Excellence designation(C2EX) through National Association of Realtors.

Ryan was excellent to work with! We moved out of state and Ryan was very thorough and helpful throughout the entire process. He knows what he's doing. We were often informed of how the process was going and if we needed to do anything on our end as sellers. We took his advice and the end result really paid off. We were intimidated by the unknown of the process due to being out of state, but he absolutely made it a breeze! I will be recommending Ryan should anyone be in need of a realtor.

Working with Ryan could not have been any easier. Ryan is very knowledgeable and responsive and was able to support us getting our home on the market quickly. He was invaluable getting some contractors lined up for remediations and getting the home sold after we had moved out of town. Highly recommended!!
