If youre looking for a realtor in Los Angeles who somehow manages to be part tour guide, part therapist, and part house-whisperer, Russell Dunn is your guy. My partner and I were relocating from Portland to LA, and he made what could have been a stressful, long-distance house hunt surprisingly fun. We thought a California bungalow by the beach was out of our league, but Russell proved us wrong. He listened closely to what we wanted, educated us on what was realistic, and then somehow pulled off the impossibleaEUR"finding us our dream home in Playa del Rey. He brought not just professionalism and deep knowledge of the market, but also a sense of humor and calm perspective that made the process feel less overwhelming (a skill he may have honed from his years working in the film industry). Although we havent met his dog Chase in person YET, the photos and stories made us feel like we had a furry cheerleader rooting us (and our doggos) on from afar. Thanks to Russell (and Chase!), were now happily settling into a home we didnt think we could have and we couldnt be more grateful. Russell listens well. Helped with all aspects of the purchase of our condo. Knows areas. Really knows Real Estate in Los Angeles. First time with us wading through a purchase in CA. Many questions and discussions with him about navigating deciding condo worth, offer process, inspection, dialogue after inspection with HOA, revised offer given to seller, dialogue with sellers agent, and time line. Also worked with escrow to help the flow of documents and answer questions about escrow documents. Texted and called intensely over the month we were in escrow. Finally we closed and are very happy with our new condo. We are very thankful that we were lucky enough to meet him.

This is our second time working with Russell for a home purchase, and he's been great every step of the way. Russell is incredibly responsive (responds in minutes, usually) and has a great attitude about looking at homes or supporting you even if you're very early on, or not even sure what you're looking for but supporting you every step along the way. When you do narrow to what you're looking for, he'll be honest as he assesses homes with you to ensure you are getting the right home for you. When you are ready, he work swiftly and clearly to communicate with the other agents and make sure you are engaging strongly in the negotiation process. He also has multiple tools and strategies to work with to help you close. Afterwards, he is quick to activate his network to ensure you have great inspection process and can connect you with other contacts (like contractors) as needed.
