When Rummy's great grandfather passed away his grandfather was left with the daunting responsibility of providing for his 7 sisters. Without flinching the newly appointed patriarch of the household, leased land from another farmer to help his loved ones survive through the years. Later his grandfather had 7 children of his own and Rummy's father joined the Military at the age of 17 to help the family which was still poor and struggling to make ends meet. Several years later Rummy was born and at the age of 9 he and his family moved to the United States of America. A place where he would learn his most valuable lesson on the subject of personal finance. Once in America, Rummy's father worked 2 jobs while his mother worked full time and took care of the family. After meticulous saving Rummy's parents bought their first property with 20% down. It was a 5 family house with the owner holding a mortgage to purchase. Witnessing this first hand Rummy's eyes were opened. He quickly realized that working within the real estate industry is the best means to passive income, and with passive income, he could ensure his family would not have to go through the struggles that he and his parents did. After high school, he attended Mercy College where he received his bachelor's degree in Computer Science. He became a licensed REALTOR® in 2002.
