ZillowVERIFIED There are few times in life when you are privileged to meet professionals so proficient in their trade that your encounter transcends the realm of regular business, and evolves into a life long and cherished friendship. Its been half a year since the ink dried on the purchase agreement of our new home yet the support and consideration demonstrated by John Michael has not diminished one bit. A sudden job change meant my family would be moving to an unfamiliar area in New Jersey from a single bedroom apartment in Manhattan. Talk about a change! We should have known that this working relationship would bloom over the course of the next few months when a random late night inquiry on a home was answered immediately by John Michael, and a showing was quickly scheduled. While that house did not end up being our forever home, the tenets that would define our working relationship with John Michael and Roxanne were immediately established. They were courteous, responsive, caring, dedicated, punctual, thorough, and service-minded. Over the course of the next few months, Roxanne used her decades of expertise to narrow a broad search into a few neighborhoods. In turn, John Michael used his extraordinary interpersonal skills to glean out the most suitable homes for us, and present us with a refreshingly honest take on each home we visited. Due to our unique circumstances, our search took a little longer than we had expected, yet John Michael and Roxanne remained patient, pro-active, exceedingly helpful. When we found our dream home, we thought that the process was over. Yet sellers were intent on making closing unnecessarily difficult. Again, our realtors advice proved invaluable. Both assisted us in negotiating an offer below asking, while creating additional savings throughout the inspection process. From recommending a level two chimney inspection (which showed serious damage to the chimney above and beyond what our regular inspection had determined) to insisting on renewed well and septic testing, John Michael and Roxanne unearthed several easily missed problems with the home and put us in a position to negotiate their remediation. New Jersey is unique in that every home purchase must be reviewed and assisted by an attorney. Despite our background in law, a new jurisdiction meant that we needed assistance above and beyond our own expertise. And when the attorney provided us by our relocation service proved unhelpful, John Michael and Roxanne were there to give timely advice and to help us negotiate a contentious and sometimes hostile closing process. Looking back I cannot believe just how fortunate we were to have reached out on a Gennari listing. Buying a home is one of the most important decisions you can make. John Michael was there everyday thoughout the process and there wasnt a single day we did not have some sort of contact. I have dealt with my fair share of realtors before and I can honestly say he is the finest professional Ive ever worked with. Roxanne is equally amazing. The fact that we are still in touch is a testament to how important this work is to them. They are simply peerless.
