As soon-to-be empty nesters, we decided that the process might take a while, so we might as well just start. All along the way, Rowland made suggestions for the best home improvements to be make, paint colors, carpet ideas and general recommendations of things to consider when getting a house ready for sale. He was patient and ever ready to answer any questions we had or find out information for us. When it came time to finally get the photographer here, he picked his best. Our house was depicted beautifully with tons of photos taken from the best angles. We were proud to be showcasing our sweet home. Showing began, Rowland and his team kept us informed. Two-weekend open houses brought potential buyers through the door. Then the day came when the offer was made. Rowland was there to help us through that process as well. When it came time for the paperwork, his team was there to facilitate that process as well, even with out-of-state parties involved. We are very blessed to have had him cross our path for our relocation from Florida to NC. Rowland was instrumental in helping us coordinate our purchase from 800 miles away reassuring us throughout the process all was going according to plan. This included driving out of his way periodically to snap and send photos on our new homes progress. Rowland proved to be a calming presence throughout the process by taking control and responsibility for the little hiccups (not of his making) along the way thereby alleviating any stress on us. He assessed my house, gave me an acceptable listing price and some advice for making it more marketable. Hired a handyman to spruce it up and by the time he was finished, I had thought of so many problems involved in moving I chickened out of listing it. That was in March or April 2018. Then, in September came Hurricane Florence. My home and hundreds of others in River Bend were flooded for the first time ever. Now I knew I needed to leave and asked my kids for help. Also knew I needed to sell so I called Rowland again. Thought he would be cool to the idea of helping me but he was just as nice and helpful as ever. To make a long story short, he named a price that was $30,000 more than I thought I could get and sold it "as is" within 2 weeks! I highly recommend Rowland Bowen.
