My journey in the world of real estate began in 1991 when I took my first steps in the industry alongside Craig Smith and Mitch Choboian at Coldwell Banker Choboian-Smith. I'll forever be grateful to these two gentlemen for teaching me the ropes and setting me on this exciting path. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of learning and growing in various roles. For seven years, I delved into lending, and I owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to mentors like Susan Welch, Laura Miller, Becky Cameron, and Ida Walters for their invaluable guidance. They've been instrumental in shaping my understanding of this dynamic field. In a rapidly evolving industry, some things remain constant. People, including myself, continue to seek exceptional customer service, respect, and personal care. I believe that real estate is all about putting the client's needs first, and I'm committed to providing just that. Today, I proudly wear many hats in the real estate world. I help buyers and sellers navigate their real estate journeys, and I'm honored to lead a fantastic team of real estate professionals known as "The Discover Team." This group shares my passion for service, and together, we strive to make your real estate experience seamless and enjoyable. In addition to my role as a real estate professional, I also serve as the Chief Financial Officer for RE/MAX Success, a position that allows me to contribute to the growth and success of our organization. But it's not all about business! In my downtime, I find immense joy and balance through the practice of martial arts, specifically Muay Thai and Aikido. Doug Marshall and Kevin Grant are two remarkable individuals who have helped me on this journey. Whether you're a first-time homebuyer, a seasoned investor, or simply have real estate questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to me or my dedicated team. We're here to assist you with your real estate needs and ensure that your journey is smooth and rewarding.

FAQ
1. What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
Avoiding the Most Common Mistakes Home Buyers Make...
1. Not understanding a local market and all that is available.
2. Thinking that it is both safe and easy to buy foreclosure and short sale homes. This is a biggie!
3. Not understanding pricing and the value of certain amenities.
4. Weak negotiating. This mistake alone can cost the buyer thousands of dollars.
5. Not requiring the proper inspections and/or not understanding these reports when an inspection is done.
6. Not understanding the importance of being pre-approved by a Lender prior to beginning the home buying process.
2. What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
Who Determines the Market Value of My Home?
Truth is, No One Can Tell You What Your Home Will Sell For… There are lots of opinions, yet only one set of facts. Examine the Facts of Record with your agent and together determine a PRICING STRATEGY designed to sell your home for the most money. The Real Market Value is Determined When Someone Says… “I’ll Buy it!” Then, they either borrow the money or take it out savings and close escrow. Then and only then, is the true market value of your home determined. Until this event happens, it is important to examine the facts of record to help determine a Pricing Strategy designed to sell your home for the highest possible price.
3. What types of clients have you worked with?
I have worked with sellers that are relocating, moving up, down sizing or selling investments. I have also worked with first-time home buyers, move-up buyers and investors.
4. Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
I recently helped a single mother sell her home and move-up to a larger home. She was looking for a home in an area of a certain school district. We found the right home and performed the right inspections to make sure the home was perfect. We had a few issues along the way, but that is very normal in a real estate transaction. We closed escrow in about 30 days and she is super happy with her purchase.
5. How did you get started in Real Estate?
I started my real estate career in 1991. I was contemplating going into the insurance business because of the success my Great Uncle had in insurance. But, my great uncle recommended real estate. He said if he were to do it all over again, that he would go into the real estate business. Therefore, 27 years later, I am still going strong.
I realized after purchasing my first home, before I had a license, that it is super important to always have my client’s best interests in mind, which my agent did not. I also realized that a big key to real estate is the financing. If I could get my buyers a loan, the home usually sells itself. Buyer’s either like a home or they don’t. I found that if people know, like and trust me, that I didn’t need to sale, I just needed to guide my clients through the process and do what’s best for them, always.
6. Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?
I am a firm believer in education. I continue to learn, train and earn real estate designations. I currently hold the following designations: CRS, Certified Residential Specialist, CRB, Certified Real Estate Broker/Manager. SRS, Seller Representative Specialist, ALHS, Accredited Luxury Home Specialist, ACP, Accredited Commercial Professional, CDPE, Certified Distressed Property Expert, CIAS, Certified Investor Agent Specialist, MilRES, Military Residential Specialist, GREEN, National Association of REALTORS Green Designation. Our team, The Discover Team also made the Real Trend Top 1000 in 2017, which is the Top 1000 Agents in the Country. We thought Robert was very good when he was trying to sell our house. He had been a friend of ours for a while. But he did not notice when Zillow incorrectly showed our home as being not for sale. However, we later discovered he is a totally untrustworthy person. The agent where we were buying our new house agreed to a referral fee, which Robert said he would give back to us, because we were the ones that actually found the new agent. But once it was received, Robert then said he would only split it with us 50/50. We later loaned him a 5-figure sum of money because he was desparate for it. That was 9 years ago, and he has not paid us back one dime. He ghosts us and does not return calls.

I was selling my mothers home as trustee of her estate as she has been placed in a care home. Brooke was very helpful in explaining the market area and what we could possibly sell the property for. This was not an easy one as the home was less than perfect, in a reverse mortgage, and we had to sell "as is", so mostly of interest to the investor type buyer. Brooke got them in the door, and we had less than 60 days to close a sale, and she did it on time at good price. We could not be happier about how we were informed and supported in the process all along the way. We would not hesitate to recommend or use Brookes real estate expertise ourselves, on any future real estate deals.

We recently sold our home with Brooke, and honestly, we couldnt have asked for a better experience. From the very beginning, she was honest, realistic, and super easy to work with. She helped us price and present the home in a really smart way, and thanks to her strategy, we ended up with a super fast saleaEUR"over asking price! There were a couple of unexpected bumps along the way (as there always are), but Brooke handled everything with calm and confidence. She found solutions quickly, kept us in the loop, and really made us feel supported through the whole process. Shes knowledgeable, responsive, and just genuinely great at what she does. If youre looking for someone whos got your back and knows how to get things done, we highly recommend Brooke.

We lived in our home for 30 years, so it was difficult to put a for sale sign on it. Brooke Clevenger made the whole process as painless as possible. She was always available when we had questions or just needed reassurance. Brooke walked us through the whole process from beginning to end. When we did run into a hiccup, Brooke was there to help alleviate our fears and walked us through the bumps. Brooke was recommended by friends we trust, and that trust was maintained. If we were still located in the Visalia area, rest assured we would recommend Brooke. Brooke, thank you for making the selling of our home, that we lived in for 30 years, as painless as possible. We can now enjoy spending time with our grandchildren in North Carolina.
