Janani Kalpathi and I have been trying to get into the exciting world of real estate investing for a long long time now - Reading countless books, spending hours on Bigger Pockets & podcasts, going to open houses almost like a weekend ritual. Not discounting every nugget of learnings through all this - but then there's Rick Albert. Irrespective of the profession, what truly separates a pro from the amateurs is the ability to listen, process and tailor what needs to be delivered. I don't know how many phone calls, revised email alerts, changing game plans we have had over - I'm not kidding - over the last 8 months since we first met on BP, before finally closing on a deal. Rick's patience, ability to come up with a few options for any given problem on the fly, eagerness to work with his clients, expertise in rules and restrictions...the list goes on, but above all, his natural ability to own conversations and create deals where all parties can walk away feeling they got what they needed truly makes him one-of-a-kind agent and a trusted ally. I was definitely afraid to begin this process but I will admit Rick made this process so smooth I can't even believe it. We began this process with Rick with a scheduled zoom meet and greet. During this time we were able to review our needs and wants, and budget. We reviewed all of our expectations and he hit the ground running. In a few hours we had a list of properties that met our criteria. Rick Would gently give his opinion or notify us if he found a true cause for concern (which is what we wanted). He never pressured, forced, or coerced us to make a decision. Rick is extremely transparent and a great communicator, he definitely goes the extra mile for his clients. He is extremely knowledgeable and takes the time to answer questions always assuring that you have a clear understanding of the entire process. In my particular situation, time was of the essence. Rick was able to provide a large variety of listings to visit each week which allowed me to accelerate my search for the perfect place without having to sacrifice getting my moneys worth. Every step of the way Rick was able to provide the pros and con of each listing. At the end of the shopping process, Rick provided a thorough analysis of the property that we were going to put in an offer for which ranged from the walkability aspect to surrounding businesses and prospected resale value. Through each step of the way, Rick was extremely responsive and paid attention to the small details which made the process go very smoothly. He made every effort to take care of everything such as turning a print, sign, scan, return into a docusign. Each step of the way, Rick was pressuring the seller to offer more and more discounts and repairs which was able to add thousands in value during the escrow process. For every step of the process, Rick had a trusted referral which offered better deals than I could find on my own. I always looked for multiple quotes every step of the way and Ricks referrals beat out all others in each situation. I will be going back to Rick for all my real estate needs.

ZillowVERIFIED Rick is the best Realtor I ever worked with. I have probably worked with about a dozen of Realtors before and no one comes close to him and his group. I gave 5 stars in all categories because he really outperformed my expectation. Most of the Realtors are responsive and everyone knows that you shouldn't be working with one if they are not but Rick is better. He stays on top of every schedule and will reach out to you before you call him with questions. He and his group is very knowledgeable and will find a way to cleverly solve any problems. Either he can give you an answer or he will ask the right people. Rick is great in many aspects but he truly shines when we entered negotiation. He was able to save us quite a bit of $$$ by knowing what and when to ask for discounts. I recommend him to anyone who needs to buy and sell their house.

I really feel as if he treated me like one of his clients purchasing a $8.2M house! Previously working with other agents that seemed to just want to pressure me into a buy, Rick showed me that he was more interested in me buying the right place for my needs. He really made this process much easier for me than I thought it was going to be, and I did not feel lost at all. He explained what was going on each step of the way and had a lot of patience since I was new to this whole sort of thing. When finding a place I really liked, Rick encouraged me to write a personal letter to the seller, helped organize the home inspections, and worked closely with the listing agent and my loan officer. Rick really took a proactive approach with all of this. He researched comps to help me with the negotiation process. Through the whole process he was on top of all deadlines and made sure nothing fell through the cracks. His communication with me was above par, answering all of my emails and calls in a very timely fashion. Even after the close of the condo, Rick continued to advise me and for instance made recommendations on who I could call to get certain items fixed whether it be a handyman or specialists. From my experience and discussions with other buyers, I have learned that it is rare to find a realtor like Rick who puts this amount of care and effort into making sure the best outcome occurs for his client. I highly recommend Rick Albert and will definitely be calling him again for my future house purchase and sale of my condo. ZillowVERIFIED Rick and his team were absolutely amazing! Before looking at homes we had several over the phone discussions and an in person meeting to see what we were looking for. Rick was very patient and had no problem telling me what was or wasn't realistic! He worked it out so that when we were ready to, he showed us several houses all in the same day. Shortly after that we decided on a home and he gave us a realistic number to offer based on previous sales in the area. We decided to go with his number and after they countered we agreed on a price BELOW ASKING PRICE! After this his work was not done, he was consistently there any time I had questions and scheduled all of the suggested home inspections. After we received the results he took the time to thoroughly explain what each part meant and what was reasonable to request the seller to credit/fix. Not only was Rick amazing, but his team helped us a lot!! Paul, another realtor in his office helped us while we were struggling to get Wells Fargo to comply with timelines. Paul has a mortgage background so he was able to explain forms to me that Wells Fargo was requesting from me. Paul had no problem being tough with my Loan Officer in order to help us close on time. Wells Fargo was a nightmare but Paul and Ricks knowledge and help made it so we were able to move along quickly. Without them I probably still wouldn't have closed. You know that Rick and LAMERICA realty is good when the Glen Oaks Escrow told me that he was always on top of it and a dream to work with!!
