We went into this endeavor with zero experience and were a little concerned about the process and getting the most money for our home. Rich was recommended by a friend so we contacted him. We met at our house in the early evening which was convenient for us but certainly well after business hours and probably not so convenient for him. He was very professional and well prepared and went over the plan to sell our home quickly and for the most money. After the initial meeting, I knew wanted to use him as our realtor. Our house went on the market days later and we had an offer after the first day on the market. After discussing the options with Rich, we decided not to take that offer. A very short time later, we accepted a better offer and the stress was over! Rich was with us throughout the entire process answering questions and continued to be responsive to all of our questions even after closing. ZillowVERIFIED My Wife and I are first time home buyers and had Zillow find our first two realtors in Maryland. Rich was our third Realtor and until I met Rich I did not know what good Realty Service was. I was starting to think the customer service shown on HGTV was just for the show, but Rich has demonstrated that it is not. Rich held our hand through the entire buying process. The contract and each step was explained to us clearly and made sense. He even contacted us when we were waiting for our mortgage broker to respond (about a week period) just to see if we had any questions, concerns or issues. He was extremely responsive at all times of the day, informative and punctual. During our home inspection the inspector had an incorrect phone number and had canceled our appointment last minute. Rich, my Wife and I were already at the property which was more than one hour away from Frederick, MD. I was able to get the home inspector to come, but he would arrive two hours later than our original appointment. Rich waited patiently the entire time and stayed during the entire inspection. Rich also caught three items the inspector had missed and struck up conversation with the inspector about questionable items. We were worried about getting in over our heads or possibly buying a bad property. I would still have these doubts and concerns if I had gone with either of the realtors Zillow referred to me originally. Rich was so detailed and thoughtful in his approach we know we got a great property and at a great price.

Cosmetically the house was beautiful, but it had many issues that were discovered on inspection after our offer was accepted. The homeowner was not going to come down in price and we were about to walk away from the deal. Rich did an excellent job negotiating with the seller's agent and got them to reduce the price substantially. In addition, he went out of his way to help us find information on a conservation easement on the home, including driving to Annapolis to get some missing details and photos. I can honestly say that if it were not for Rich, we would not have been able to purchase (and fix up) this amazing home. We were very impressed with his skills and knowledge. I highly recommend him.

When we met he asked what I was looking for, area, amenities, etc and provided homes I may be interested in. Common but when we visited homes I never felt pressured or rushed. He provided spot on information and pointed out + and - which I found very beneficial. He never tried to push me to a particular home and when asked he provided deltas on each home. I had to leave for a few months after looking at homes and Rich continued to provide information and look into homes I was interested in.
