I did not have any connections in this area who could really recommend a seller's agent to me, so I did a lot of online research and interviewed multiple agents/brokers before hiring Renee. From our first meeting, Renee clearly stood out as the most efficient, knowledgable, and professional of the bunch. Even though I had met with other agents who were asking for a slightly lower commission, I still went with my gut and hired Renee. She did not try to oversell herself or give me inflated estimates of the value of my house that she would later have to walk back. She backed up everything with market data and research, was a consistent straight-shooter, and was someone I felt that I could trust to help me navigate the sales process. I have no regrets about hiring Renee, as she handled the whole sales process very professionally while also being a reliable, friendly, and personable partner. She made smart recommendations about what repairs/updates we should do, and what it would not be worth doing before listing our house. She also set up a free staging consultation, which really helped us to make sure our house popped in the photos and looked its best for showings. At the end of the day, she got our house listed and sold exactly on the timeframe and in the price range we had hoped for and steered us smoothly through the whole process. Importantly, Renee helped us to pick the right price point for the listing, and it was spot on. We were somewhat unsure what to expect for pricing, as we bought this house during COVID craziness (2020) and had seen property prices first skyrocket and then start to drop as interest rates and inflation went up in early 2023. We really didn't know what kind of price to ask for our house, and we were hearing pretty divergent numbers from various agents we had interviewed before hiring Renee. However, Renee was able to find the perfect sweet spot in terms of pricing, and we ended up having lots of interest in the house, multiple offers, and were under contract within 48 hours. She was also super helpful in the negotiation process with the buyers, including navigating their requests during due diligence. One of the most important things for me was that Renee and Rebecca were super responsive throughout the whole process - even before I had formally hired Renee - and they always went the extra mile to keep me informed and up to date. The Team, headed by Renee Hillman and her colleague Robin Tilley must commended for the outstanding work done, knowing the reward could be 9-10 months away.The market being what it was in Raleigh, made the decision by my daughter to be that of buying a new build. Robin spent the entire Thanksgiving weekend running her and her husband all over the area looking at resales and new construction. It was this effort, this thoroughness that convinced me to use HREG and Robin myself in my search, which began in January of 2021.We purchased the home sight unseen. Robin acted as our proxy for the new build in Youngsville. We had never even been to the Raleigh area until we actually closed on the property Memorial Day weekend. For everything else, she had built relationships with contractors that did great work. As an individual homeowner, I just don't have the same buying power as one of the area's top real estate brokers. The contractors are highly motivated to keep her happy.Even more impressive was how quickly she was able to help when disaster struck. I received a call from Renee on Friday afternoon while the appraisers were on-site. She told me that water was flowing out of my house. She was able to recommend a local remediation/repair company that was at my house before the day was done. The closing date ended up being pushed back by about a month due to the repairs, but the buyers hung with us. Renee had a lot to do with that. She really helped to push things along and keep the buyers engaged. I could not recommend her more highly.

They were extremely knowledgeable about the real estate in the Knightdale/Zebulon area and did a great job of making sure everything we needed was in line for us to close on our house. We personally worked with Jonathan Edwards, and he did an amazing job working with both the seller's agent and us to make sure our new house was what we expected and that we didn't get stuck buying something that wasn't what they promised us it would be. Specifically, our new house needed significant repairs to the foundation due to rot and termite damage, and Jonathan went through all the ridiculous paperwork to make sure they fixed the house the way they were supposed to. This caused us to delay closing on the house several times, but this was a good thing since we wanted to get the house in the condition they said it would be in, not the condition it was after the contractor had done a poor job on the repairs.
