It is a seller's market and homes are going way above asking with no contingencies, but Remy did all that she can to make sure our offer was accepted. Remy and her associate Mike helped me every step of the way. Today I signed the papers to my first home, with both Remy and Mike next to me supporting and explaining every page. It was honestly an experience I will never forget, and hope to work with them again in the future. We had met a few agents before but none of them appealed us but we felt very comfortable with Remy. I work 6 days a week so have only one day off. Remy use to show us all the sorted out houses the same day. At times she also requested sellers to schedule a property tour early in the morning so that I can see property before leaving for work. Being first time home buyers we had all basic obvious questions and Remy answered all of them with patience. She used to come prepared with all the relevant information about all the properties before the tour. She also used to inspect houses thoroughly during the tour and always gave us very honest opinion. One thing I liked about her was that she knew all about the bay area real estate market and brought to our knowledge the factors affecting a property which we didn't even know existed. Through the entire process, we were very impressed with Remy by two things: First, her knowledge of the local market (we hired her because she had experience selling at the complex our condominium was located in). She knew everything about the property already, including potential pitfalls. She knew everything about the nearby condo market, which helped us greatly (see below). Second, her aggressiveness and conviction about setting our listing price (far above what we originally thought we could get). Most agents we have worked with in the past were very timid to be aggressive on price. They were also too risk-averse to even offer an opinion about the price we should list at. Remy added true value to this process by guiding us to a price we didn't think we could get, but we got in the end. Her confidence (backed by knowledge of the market) is a breath of fresh air. At the end of the process, Remy also (without me asking) called me to make sure that we sought advice about some potential tax pitfall. I appreciated this attention to detail and customer-centricity.
