Of course, we had our checklist of things we wanted: location, size, multi-unit, garage, backyard, preferable old & victorianaEUR| Did she deliver, yes! Was it easy, no, but so worth it! Starting out we toured many places, some we liked, some we didnt and some sold too fast. Fortunately, we stumbled across the right place at the right time and we connected with the sellers. However, Rebecca had her hands full with this deal and she certainly knows how to handle delicate situations professionally. Rebecca worked for 3 months with us figuring out how we could make the sale work for us. We overcame many obstacles, dealing with unfortunate breach of contract due to tenancy situation, the sellers having a reverse mortgage $$$, trying to avoid a short sale, helping us coordinate all of the inspections. She connected us with the right attorneys to maneuver these situations. She has a strong network of lawyers, architects, contractors, mortgage brokers all local to SF that one would need at every step of buying a house. She also has strong connections with local inspectors we needed before contingency removal of a house that would help with home inspection, pest inspection, roof and structural reports, sewer lateral etc. She will tell you when you need to act fast on a property(to propose the best offer in a bidding situation) vs when you can take some time with inspections and contingency removals. Rebecca is super smart and great at giving advice when it comes to handling tricky situations. She was on top of comps with every house and figuring out how to get a great deal. She understood our style well with the kind of house we wanted to be in and made it a priority in recommending certain houses. She pointed us in the right direction where we should go to get more detailed answers regarding more obscure questions, like the building dept, city planning and rental board- all youd need to know to be a landlord in SF. Rebecca continues to be helpful even after close of escrow. She still answers any questions we might have regarding the property, renovations or being a homeowner. Wow, did we learn a lot! Rebecca is extremely knowledgeable, diligent, hard working and persistent. What a journey buying our first house was and she held our hand every step of the way. We were very lucky to have Rebecca as our agent through this journey. She always advised us wisely on our offers but never forced us into an uncomfortable situation. We were trying to buy as the market was skyrocketing. Rebecca saw the direction the market was heading, advised us when we naively misunderstood how quickly prices were rising, but didn't push us beyond what we were ready for. A less patient agent would have needled us into making an offer beyond our budget, but she never did.In an age where websites hold the promise of showing you all the real estate available, we were at times fool hearted enough to believe we could find a house on our own. But Rebecca's knowledge and access found us a house that never appeared on any real estate websites. Months went by, open house after open house, condos, lofts, town homes, we looked at everything. The one constant through our 6 month home search was Rebecca. She proved herself to be an invaluable guide and source of information. Being relatively new to the home purchasing process, with all it's complexities, Rebecca didn't hesitate to take the time to explain how everything worked, down to the smallest details. We were so pleased with her efforts in helping us find our home that we decided to have her sell our jr one bedroom as well, which after an aggressive marketing campaign she sold in less than two weeks for over asking. Rebecca is a relentless advocate for her clients, she listens to what you want and helps you find what you want when you don't know what that is. Earlier when I said my Partner and I were happy with our decision, it really was our decision. Not once did Rebecca pressure us into making an offer if she sensed the slightest hesitation. I have to say it again, Rebecca is a relentless advocate for her clients, and we're happy to have worked with her and look forward to chance to work with her again.
