FAQ
1. What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
Buying a home is one of the biggest financial moves you’ll ever make—so my first piece of advice? Get clear on your goals and get pre-approved before you start touring. That alone can save you time, stress, and even money.
As a local expert in the Central Arkansas market, I help buyers every day—from first-timers to military families relocating under pressure. Here’s what I tell each of them:
* Know what you really want. Start with your must-haves versus nice-to-haves, based on your lifestyle—not just square footage.
* Get pre-approved early. This gives you a competitive edge in a fast-moving market, and helps set realistic expectations.
* Don't skip the inspection. It’s your chance to understand the home’s condition and protect your investment—even in a seller’s market.
* Think long-term. Look at neighborhood trends, not just what’s in front of you today. A great price in the wrong area isn’t a win.
* Lean on your agent. A good agent isn’t just a door-opener—they’re your negotiator, local guide, and advocate from day one to close.
Whether you’re buying your first home or your forever home, the right strategy starts with the right guidance. Let’s make your move a smart one.
2. What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
Selling your home isn't just about putting a sign in the yard—it's about positioning your property to stand out in a competitive market. The right preparation and strategy can make a massive difference in your final sale price and time on market.
Here’s what I tell every seller I work with, whether it's a military family on a timeline or a luxury property with unique features:
* Start with curb appeal. First impressions matter—clean landscaping, fresh mulch, and a power-washed exterior can raise perceived value before a buyer even steps inside.
* Declutter and depersonalize. Buyers need to envision themselves living there. Less is more when it comes to personal items, furniture, and decor.
* Price it strategically—not emotionally. The market sets the value. I use hyper-local data to price competitively while maximizing your return.
* Make the listing shine. Professional photos, video, and storytelling-based marketing attract more views and stronger offers.
* Be ready to negotiate. The best offer isn't always the highest—it’s the one with the strongest terms, timeline, and financing.
* Partner with the right agent. A great listing agent doesn’t just "list"—they position, market, negotiate, and close with confidence.
If you want a smooth sale and the highest possible return, the key is in the prep, pricing, and marketing. I guide my sellers through every step to make sure they don’t leave money—or time—on the table.
3. What types of clients have you worked with?
I’ve worked with a wide range of clients across Central Arkansas—from excited first-time buyers to families navigating some of life’s hardest transitions. Every situation is different, and I pride myself on offering clear guidance, strong advocacy, and a calm, professional approach no matter what my clients are facing.
Here are some of the client types I work with most often:
* First-time homebuyers who want someone to walk them through every step with clarity and patience.
* Military families relocating under PCS orders who need speed, trust, and boots-on-the-ground support.
* Luxury buyers and sellers who expect white-glove service, strategic marketing, and expert negotiation.
* Out-of-state investors building rental portfolios who rely on local insight and strong deal flow.
* Families upsizing, downsizing, or buying and selling at the same time—timing is everything.
* Homeowners going through a divorce who need discretion, empathy, and a no-drama sales process.
* Probate sales and inherited properties where multiple stakeholders need coordination and care.
* Sellers in challenging situations—job loss, urgent relocations, or distressed property—who need solutions, not just a sign in the yard.
No matter the scenario, I tailor my strategy to meet each client where they are—delivering not just results, but peace of mind along the way.
4. Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
Most people love to hear about the homes we list and sell in a matter of hours—often over asking price. And yes, we’ve had plenty of those. But the transaction I’m most proud of wasn’t the easiest. It was a true test of grit, consistency, and creative problem-solving.
One of our investor clients had a great property ready to go. We prepped it, priced it right, and had it under contract within days. But then… things got interesting.
* The first buyer’s lender couldn’t get the deal done.
* The second buyer’s partners split up during the transaction and walked away.
* The third buyer simply disappeared, mid-process—calls, emails, everything.
Each time, we went back to market immediately, re-engaged our pool of buyers, and kept momentum high. And every time, we got it under contract again within just a few days.
By the fourth sale, we found the right buyer—and this time, we navigated it across the finish line. The seller netted exactly what they wanted, without ever lowering the price.
This wasn’t a story about luck. It was about strategy, follow-through, and never letting frustration take the wheel. And it proved that having the right agent makes all the difference—especially when things don’t go according to plan.
5. How did you get started in Real Estate?
My love for real estate started early—walking timberland in South Arkansas with my dad and grandfather. They taught me about land, timber, and stewardship, and I became fascinated with what was possible when you truly understood a property.
I officially entered the real estate world in 2006 as a marketing professional in Northwest Arkansas, helping market over $49 million in property that year. I became a licensed Realtor in 2007 and sold my first listing in less than a day. From there, I was hooked.
I’ve always been passionate about helping people and about home—and when you love what you do, you can make what’s difficult look easy. I blend advanced marketing with proven traditional strategies to get homes sold faster and for more. But what I love most is guiding people from “just looking” or “just listed” all the way to “Welcome Home.”
Since moving back to Central Arkansas in 2013, I’ve consistently ranked among the top agents in both sales and client satisfaction, and I’ve had the opportunity to speak at national real estate conferences about the systems and strategies we use to serve people better.
6. Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?
Absolutely—and I believe it’s what sets me apart. Besides studying real estate in college, my background blends marketing, negotiation, real estate strategy, and storytelling—and I use all of it to give my clients a serious advantage.
Before becoming a full-time Realtor, I worked in high-volume real estate marketing, helping promote over $49 million in listings in a single year. That experience gave me a deep understanding of how to position homes for maximum visibility and value.
Since becoming licensed in 2007, I’ve continually invested in advanced training—from negotiation strategy to military relocation expertise and luxury marketing systems. I’ve also been invited to speak at national real estate conferences, sharing the tools and systems my team uses to deliver consistent results for buyers and sellers.
Whether it’s analyzing data to price a home precisely or crafting a marketing campaign that gets offers fast, I bring more to the table than just a license—I bring strategy, creativity, and a proven track record.

As a military family, moving from overseas is not for the faint of heart, but we had a stress free experience with Pixel Properties and Sara Thorpe. Communication was thorough and easy, despite time differences and she accommodated countless virtual tours for us, and provided accurate feedback so we could purchase a home without viewing it in person. We felt confident and supported by Pixel Properties and would highly recommend to any families in a similar situation.

We bought our first property in Little Rock with the help of Ray and team. We worked with Matt and Shanna. Both of them were super responsive and always available. They always went above and beyond in their efforts and made the home search and purchase process extremely smooth. We really liked the insights they would share on properties when we are evaluating them. We highly recommend pixel properties for anyone looking to buy properties in Little Rock area.
