We lost $15,000 following the instructions given to us by our agent telling us we were well within our contingency.! To go ahead with the $400 inspection so that would be the only way to get out of the contract on a house that flooded! We were waiting for our earnest money and had been given the runaround by the agent, Payson, until finally Payson told us he is not the broker! There is no broker to contact no phone number whatsoever of a contact person!! This has been one of the biggest mistakes of our lives, dealing with a non-reputable real estate firm. We wouldve been better off on our own and not following our agents instructions of telling us to go ahead with an inspection and now telling us to get a lawyer! But we were told we would get our money back in a couple days!!! We have had no representation only different stories told to us by escrow, the agent and Payson. For one of the biggest investments of your life, do your research and go with a reputable brokerage firm with an on-site broker, and people with experience in real estate!! This was the biggest scam we had ever been through on a real estate transaction.
