Peter wasn't our first agent and we were not feeling a good fit with our previous agent. We were very happy that we found Peter - he is very solid, genuine, patient, knowledgeable, down-to-earth, and kind. His local knowledge and connections in the Melrose, Malden, Everett, Somerville, and Cambridge area was a plus. Peter has a data-drive approach (checked out his facebook page to find out the aggregated data he compiled!) and is level-headed during the entire process. The market is extremely hot in the moment but he gave us good advices on pricing for our bids and never pressured us for things that we are not comfortable with. He is very patient and this is so important when competitions are so fierce in this market and it's easy for buyers to make irrational decisions out of anxiety (and suffering). He is very puncture and timely with responses, good professionalism. We eventually had an offer accepted two months into looking. Peter's good interpersonal skills (e.g. building very good rapport with the seller's agent), savviness, and emotional intelligence helped us to seal a deal during a bidding war (with over 14 offers). I remember the moment before we submitted the final offer, we attempted to add more to the offering price but Peter told us "it's not necessary" and he was right and saved us from our anxiety talk. Peter seems to be well liked by our lender and attorney as well. Overall, Peter is a reliable, dependable, trustworthy, and skillful agent - we feel like we not only find a good professional to work with, but a kind friend who would watch after your interests. Peter was always available, very patient and kind with our doubts, since the beginning. We did not want to work with just one agent at the beginning, but when we met him, we knew we had found someone special. Buying a house is not easy, and it takes time and sometimes more than one try. Peter advised us in a very useful way and made sure we would get into the houses we liked. He also provided useful contacts through his network.
