ZillowVERIFIED A few months ago I would have argued virtual/online realty services can save you thousands of dollars; and, they can. But, using a local realtor with skill can save you tens of thousands. Heres how Realtor Paul Lee helped us save over $25k and exponentially increased the safety of my family: 1. He was present for all showings of my house. He was the first one in to open all doors, turn on all lights and ensure everyone put a mask on before entering our house. Nobody touched anything. 2. One of the buyers had a realtor who was not able to make a showing so Paul showed it to the buyer and was able to highlight the value and features of the home. We received a full price offer from that person as well as a leaseback. 3. We made an aggressive offer on the house we wanted to purchase and the listing agent asked us to lower our offer out of fear of not making appraisal. For item 1 - his concern for the safety of our family was reassuring and comforting For item 2- we were about to lower our list price and Paul provided data as to why our house deserved that list price. He keep us calm and steady. We left the price as in and sold it. This saved us around 10k. For item 3- Once we found our forever home, Paul advised us on what was an appropriately aggressive offer and then left the decision to us. The listing agent was from ANOTHER CITY and not in touch with the local market. When she saw our offer She feared the deal would break and asked us to lower the offer around 15k. The appraisal was higher than our lowered offer. It would not have been an issue. We lowered and closed the deal saving around 25k between the two transactions. Use Paul...he an expert who can save your health and wealth.

He showed me a house I was interested in buying, and from that initial visit when I decided to buy it to the closing and well beyond, Paul has been there to answer all my questions, suggest resources, give me his expert opinion and support me through the whole adventure of buying my first home. Through all the challenges I had to face, which due to my circumstances included having to transfer funds from a foreign bank, travel to Europe and call him at home at various hours due to the time difference, and signing and sending documents under pressure of impending deadlines, Paul was always available, resourceful, patient, and solution oriented. When I closed the deal on the house, I was 100% sure that I was making the right investment decision, and that is a good feeling to have.Paul not only sent me a list of MLS (as most realtors do), but he always was giving his advice about what houses would meet my needs as investor. He takes the time to listen to our needs and spends time with us showing us the properties and providing his assessment of the property. He is very detailed when recommending a reasonable offer for a property. Once we determined an offer for a property, Paul would immediately submit the proposal. During the contract period, Paul worked with us to make sure the contract was submitted on time and accurately. He was always very prompt in following up and accomodating me and my wife's schedule.He appeared to know more about Northwest Austin but that may have been because we initially only wanted to look there.He facilitated the process very well and except for the huge hassle in securing a loan, everything went quite well. I regret the way I secured a loan going with a broker Paul recommended and though I think the broker was okay, I should have gone with a bank that I had been dealing with for years.Looking back, perhaps we could have been a little more aggressive on pricing based on the slow market that I see in Scofield Farms since we moved in.In summary, Paul is an excellent realtor who is very dedicated and knowledgeable and I would not hesitate to recommend him to friends or family moving into Austin.
