ZillowVERIFIED Traveling to WNC with a friend who wanted to retire here in the Mountains, I fell in love with the area and decided this is where I wanted to also retire. After going through several local Agents who never contacted us, Paul was recommended. With Paul's assistance my friend bought a house in 2009 and I purchased property in 2011 on which I had a house built. I found during my friend's process and my own Paul to be very helpful and honest with his comments on properties & listings we physically reviewed. There was never any pressure felt to make a "quick sale" and the experience was positive. Being very knowledgeable of the area and processes Paul quickly answered my questions via email or phone. ZillowVERIFIED We lived in Ohio and was looking for a home in the Waynesville, Maggie Valley area. Paul treated us as if we were his only client, meeting with us considering our time restraints. He set up several homes for us to see in order to find out what we liked. Homes in the south are entirely different than in the north. we had basements and no mountains. Paul explained what was common here and why. He told us negative points of certain homes or locations, such as heating, road access, type of construction and weather. This all took place in two days. We went back to Ohio and a few weeks later got a call from Paul and he said he had our ideal home. he sent pics and specs. He put a hold on it for the one day it took us to get back down here. We bought the house that day. Every thing after that was dealt with by e-mail. We have bought and sold several homes in our lifetime. Paul has been the best we ever had. Paul is like talking to a friend and not a business acquaintance.

My husband and I are retired and had decided to purchase a home after 8 years of traveling and living in a motor home. We lucked out when we found Paul. Paul is a laid back Realtor who does not push you which was important to both of us. He found the perfect home for us and we are still living in it 12 years later. He listened to our wish list, knew the inventory, knew the entire area very well, kept in touch, and went above and beyond the normal in our transaction. He also has a special personality and a great sense of humor which always helps when buying real estate. We have referred Paul many times to others and they seem very happy too.

ZillowVERIFIED I don't normally write reviews. Paul Heathman sold my home in the mountains near Maggie Valley Country Club after two other agents failed to do so over two years of trying. Paul actually netted us more money that we were expecting after the experience of the previous agents failure to sell the property. Paul was very knowledgeable and very aggressive, he helped us as absentee owners from having to make continuous trips to Maggie Valley to make repairs dictated by over zealous Inspectors and he "CLOSED THE DEAL" an art often lost on agents with little experience.
