She was extremely knowledgeable on all accounts and the house was competitively priced which allowed the sale to come in over asking price. Patti was extremely responsive and kept in contact with me every step of the way. While working a full time job, I never once had to take time away from work to handle paperwork/home repairs/appointments/etc. Everything was processed digitally and Patti made sure everything was taken care of. ZillowVERIFIED Patti Shelton is by far a genuinely 5-star rated realtor, and comes HIGHLY recommended. She was found by our realtor representing the sale of our house in FL and already came highly recommended, but we still wanted to interview her to make sure of a fit. She promised to assist, answer all of our questions, and be a partner in our home buying experience, and that she did! We had a particularly challenging house hunting/buying experience as my family and I were in Florida and relocating to the Asheville area while still selling our old home out of state. This meant Patti would need to work remotely with us to purchase a pretty significant house without us being here about 98% of the time. Easier said then done as communicating solely via technology (email, phone, texts, pictures) for such a process can have its challenges, but Patti did an amazing job at communicating and making sure we always knew what was happening.To add to the difficulty, our inspection report came back and would of had probably 4 out of 5 home buyers running the other direction as it was less than stellar, but we loved the house and wanted to proceed. However this meant Patti would have to proxy for us on location time and time again to be present and set up an array of additional inspectors, engineers, specialist, and repair folks as we couldn't be present. Patti did an AMAZING job and being 'air traffic control' to all of these parties needed to get the house assessed and fixed prior to purchase. You might think this kind of service is a 'given' and any realtor would go that extra mile, but buyer beware it's not the case. I'm sure if we had picked the wrong realtor we would have been presented an ultimatum to find a way to coordinate that process on-site more independently, or move on to another house; especially if the realtor lived an hour away which is possible in the Asheville area as everything is so spread out. Without Patti's commitment to driving 30-45+ minutes to the house we wanted over and over again to monitor and direct activities, we wouldn't be in our dream house today. This is truly the case of going 'above and beyond' and Patti does just that.There was also multiple stressful times throughout the process where as home buyers we had to hold our breath and see if things like offer price and negotiated repairs would be accepted. Patti was a true partner in this trying home buying time and spent the time to come up with a strategy with us on the best approach to present to the sellers. Again this was more complex than usual as the house we wanted had so many costly and complex repairs, but Patti stuck in there and did a terrific job of coordinating with the seller's realtor to make the purchase a success.Lastly Patti is just a super friendly and wonderful person that honestly felt like a family member just about from the 1st time we met her in person. I'm sure a lot of people throw that type of compliment around, but it kept feeling like we were dealing with a long time friend or family member we had known for 15 years. She is just such a wonderful person, respectful, friendly, and nice so no matter what real estate situation you have, Patti will be an absolute joy to work with in your journey.We can't say enough about Patti Shelton and her experience as a realtor. We highly recommend her and know you won't be disappointed. We sure are happy as we got the house of our dreams, thanks to Patti!

My husband and I were visiting Asheville to see if we liked the area and think about renting a house if it felt like a cozy spot to be for a couple of years. Patti was very flexible, as our thought process evolved from renting, to rent-to-buy, to buying. After 3 days of comparing our desires with what was available, we decided to buy a home instead of renting one. During the whole buying process, Patti was very detail oriented and walked us thru all the paperwork, either online or on the phone. We were able to close online and felt confident that everything was in order. After the closing, Patti provided a very helpful list of contacts for utilities and contractors, and as we were out of the area, she even continued to assist us with remodeling and inspection details. Since it is an out of my residency state purchase, it was not convenient for me to screen and check the potential properties. Patti went far and beyond to help me find all the information I had questions about the properties. For example, she went to look at the property and send me many photos to help me pre-screen the property I was interested before I make the trip to see it myself. She also met with builders to make sure the land can be used to build a home. She was very patient and thorough in the process of finding the property I like.During the process of purchase, she helped a lot to arrange professional personal or companies to get all the necessary tests and permits completed for the property to ensure it would be a good purchase.
