Patrick Dodd

I'm Patrick Dodd, a Chicago Realtor, team leader at Mynt Properties, and a founding member of SERHANT. Chicago. For more than eight years I've represented buyers, sellers, and investors across West Town, Wicker Park, Bucktown, Logan Square, Avondale, Lincoln Square, Lake View, Lincoln Park, Uptown, and Andersonville. My work covers condos, single-family homes, and two-to ten-unit multifamily buildings, and I do it alongside a team with more than $1 billion in combined sales.

I came to real estate from high-end hospitality and wine. That world taught me that the best experiences come from paying attention to the small things nobody asks you to notice, and that instinct is one of my greatest skills now. I read the condo docs other people skim, I notice what a property's condition is quietly telling you, and I thread the needle on the details that decide whether a deal holds together. Clients tell me I'm easy to talk to, and they also know I'll dig in hard when their interests are on the line. I've always thought of my approach as an iron fist in a velvet glove.

For sellers, the work starts well before a home hits the market. That means real preparation, pricing built on comps I'll walk you through line by line, and updates that reach you before you think to ask. For buyers, it's context, so you can tell the difference between a real problem, a manageable tradeoff, and an easy upgrade. For investors, it's honest underwriting with construction and capital costs built in, because a building has to work in real life as well as on paper.

Whatever you're doing, you'll see how I got to every number and hear exactly what I'd do in your shoes, and the final decision always stays with you. Most of my business comes from past clients and the friends they send my way, and that's the part of my business I'm proudest of.

When I'm off the clock, you'll usually find me admiring Chicago's architecture, watching a race, or cooking for friends with a good bottle of wine open. My wife and I live in West Town, and we love calling this city home.
