It was truly a pleasure to work with the Millen Group on the sale of our home. Throughout the entire process, it was very evident that Patie Millen and her assistant Patty Davis have extensive experience in the Rogue Valley real estate market. Patie and her team are fantastic to work with in the southern Oregon area. Her knowledge of the area and experience as an agent were by far the best we found. And to top that off, she is a genuinely nice person! We wouldn't hesitate to use Patie again.
1. What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
Work with a Realtor that has long term experience in the market. There are many things to know about not only the buying process but for the overall area. Types of soil, water quality, neighborhoods, etc. It is important to use a knowledgeable Realtor.
2. What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
Make sure your Realtor has a strong marketing presence already in place. It takes years to form an effective presence and it is not something that can be put in place for your home. Also ask why they feel they have strong capabilities in pricing your home. Have them show you direct evidence of that. It is essential that your pricing fit into the market where it belongs.
3. What types of clients have you worked with?
We work with buyers and sellers in all price categories, from the entry level to multi-million estates and investment properties. We sell homes, rural properties, estates, multifamily properties, land and ranches and investment properties.
4. Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
I appreciate all of the clients we have closed transactions for. It is rewarding to see a new buyer with limited means purchase their first home as it is to sell a multi-million dollar ranch for a client that wants to retire and downsize. All are very rewarding for as as we assist our clients entering the next phase of their lives.
5. How did you get started in Real Estate?
I entered in 1994 in Ashland Oregon. I had a strong business background as a corporate vice president and financial controller. I thought I would love real estate and I was right. By my 3rd year I was the 2nd top selling agent in Jackson County.
6. Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?
You can't beat 23 years' of experience in a local market. That is the best most valuable training you can have. I was certified in accounting, completed my Certified Residential Specialist designation, completed the Graduate Realtor Institute and have won a wide array of awards that have place me in the top 1% state wide.
