I am a life-long area resident. Raised on a Holsten dairy farm in a rural valley east of Elmira, up Jerusalem Hill, just a few miles from the historic Langdon summer home where Samuel Clemen's -- Mark Twain's -- study originally was, I grew up embraced by the beauty of the Southern Tier of New York as the oldest of four.
My childhood included camping, roller skating, ice skating and horseback riding (English and western). Mom, Barb Pipher, was a teacher with the Elmira City School District with a knack for interior design, who owned a furniture and gift shop called The Willow Shoppe. Dad, Lemuel Pipher, always a hard-working entrepreneur, founded a successful concrete company called Custom Mix Concrete that still thrives today under the ownership of my brother, John Pipher.

I understand construction from dad's business and its connections, and staging and interior design from mom's influences. I also know a lot about local farming and its challenges, as my brother Tom Pipher was a Cornell grad in Agricultural Business and was the regional director of the USDA for decades. My sister Becky (Rebecca DiBella) is also in real estate.

This background gives me an understanding of the local housing market. I've lived in Lowman, Waverly, Horseheads, Big Flats, Corning, and now Elmira with my husband.
